Two peasants from Transylvania go to America in order to meet their brother who had left Romania ten years earlier. They meet a prophet in the American state of Utah and eventually help the cause of justice in the villages where the prophet proves to be a dictator and exploiter of the coal miners over there.

A ship captain loses his ship and most of his crew in a shipwreck in the Caribbean. Returning home, he has a guilty conscience and nightmares about what happened, which drives him away from his wife. He is given command of a new merchant ship bound for Singapore when its captain is injured shortly before departure. Only that this generic life is not represented with humans, but with the artefacts that we the humans have created for our children (or should we say ‘cubs’?), in order to prepare them for life: the toys. So, the film is a collage of scenes in which the toys help us understand better a possible essence of our life.

Because they didn't manage to get the floating act, the grandmother calls her friend from a prestigious school to find out what the transfer possibilities are. After the phone call, the two women have to choose between a disability act, through which the niece will have to simulate a disability, or an ethnicity act which, as a consequence, will lead to the expulsion of a Roma child. Despite the grotesque bargain, the women end their lunch with a Turkish dessert

In "Spaces #2", 7 internationally acclaimed directors shot, after commissioning by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, a short film at home, making their own timely comment on the new reality that we live in. The project is inspired by the book "Species of Spaces" by the French novelist, filmmaker, documentalist, and essayist, Georges Perec and the days of quarantine. The idea is to create a film at home, using the environment, the people or the animals in that space. The only outdoor areas that may be used are outdoor living spaces, such as the terrace, the garden, the balcony and the stairwell. "A Fable" is Radu Jude's submission.
