Vlora, an acting student, is chosen for the lead role in Sophocles’ play Antigona. The premiere receives significant attention, but less for Vlora’s portrayal of her character as for her undressing on stage. Vlora’s father is ashamed and forbids her from continuing with the play. Living in a conservative society the only person who supports Vlora is her younger brother. Vlora finds herself caught between her career and her family, and as she fights to defend her acting role, she learns she is fighting for her future.

A film about one of the most famous Albanian writers, Ismail Kadare. "Literature is born and develops in every time, in every regime, regardless of its sharpness." Kadare's life path is depicted, from his native Gjirokastra to the streets of Paris, where he lives today.

When ex-Yugoslavia began to fall apart, the Serbian regime banned Kosovar Albanians from participating in public life. Albanian employees across public institutions were fired. Albanian media outlets were closed down. Many elementary and high schools were closed to Albanian students and the entire university system was shut down. During the 1990's in Kosovo, teaching resumed in private apartments, houses and basements stores. This documentary shows how a parallel society and reality was organized. It shows how segregation and apartheid became the norm. Besa Luci and Mathieu Jouffre wrote the script for this challenging film together. In it people are in a relaxed atmosphere: eating, drinking, chatting and revisiting vividly one of the most exciting as well as tragic periods in the history of Kosovo.

Shot in the Kosovar village of Nevokaze, it depicts the traditional lifestyle of an Albanian family numbering 117 members, all living under one roof and in great harmony. One of the finest examples of ethnographic film to come from this region, it has been called a ‘spiritual portrait of the nation’.

Hava's brothers decide to divide their paternal property. According to traditional customs, the right to inheritance belongs to male descendants only whereas Hava has no right to inherit. The eldest brother is obligated to find a husband for his sister. Hava must be married and live at her husband's house.

During their residency in Kosovo, directors Meray Diner and Dafina Daka uncovered harrowing accounts of sexual violence used systematically as a weapon of war. More than physical assault, these acts were aimed at breaking families and silencing generations. Na Thojshin Lutko Moja draws on the testimonies of Kosovar women survivors to explore the hidden emotional aftermath shame, isolation, and the cost of breaking the silence. The film reclaims a collective memory often denied, offering a powerful portrait of resilience.

A documentary that deals with the topic of migration and migrant workers. This topic is explained through the people who are interviewed. Among the interviewees is muslim priest, a French researcher who talks about Albanian emigrants and migrant workers, and four migrant workers who are pensioners.

When people asked me about my trip to Tirana and the situation in Kosovo, I was drawn to explore more. Arriving in the city, I was intrigued by a Funeral Home and wanted to understand its significance and religious background. Tirana is home to three major religions living side by side, and I wanted to capture this coexistence. In my search for answers, I found that the feeling of loss is universal. Despite our differences, the shared experience of mourning connects us all, and this common thread is at the heart of my work.
