بعد أن نُبذ من قبيلته، يسعى صيّاد فضائي لإثبات نفسه واستعادة مكانته، فيتحالف مع رفيق غير متوقّع وينطلقان معًا في رحلة خطرة، بحثًا عن الخصم الأعظم... ذاك الذي قد يمنحه النصر عليه شرفًا مفقودًا، أو يُخلّد سقوطه إلى الأبد.

عندما يكتشف البشر (القمر الفريد باندورا) الذي يحتوي على معدن فائق الأهمية من الناحية الاقتصادية، يقومون بتنفيذ خطة محكمة لغزوه على الفور. لكن على هذا القمر تعيش كائنات زرقاء البشرة تٌدعى (نافي) يتمتعون بحب جارف لكوكبهم وطبيعته المدهشة، ويتصلون معه جسديًا ونفسيًا.. لذا عندما يبدأ هؤلاء في الدفاع عن كوكبهم، ينضم إليهم بعض البشر ليواجهوا قادة الغزو في معركة طاحنة ستحدد مصير باندورا والبشر إلى الأبد.

يحاول كل من جيك سولي ونيتيري أن يقوما بكل ما في وسعهما كي يظل معًا، ولكن يتحتم عليهما مفارقة منزلهما واكتشاف أرجاء شتى على كوكب باندورا لينهيا ما بدآه.

ميكي 17 هو "مستهلك" ، موظف يمكن التخلص منه ، في رحلة استكشافية بشرية أرسلت لاستعمار عالم الجليد نيفلهايم . بعد وفاة تكرار واحد ، يتم تجديد جسم جديد مع بقاء معظم ذكرياته سليمة.

تدور قصة الفيلم حول سوبرمان أو كلارك كينت (هنري كافيل) وهو شاب في العشرين من عمره يعمل صحافي، يشعر بالغربة نتيجة قوة خارقة تميزه عن غيره. ويتضح أنه نُقل من كوكب "كريبتون" منذ سنوات إلى الأرض، وتبناه كلا من مارثا (داني لين) وجوناثان كينت (كيفين كوستنر) منذ الصغر، وعندما بلغ أشده، بدأ يساعد العالم عقب أي مأساة أو كارثة.

ثور في الجانب الآخر من الكون، يجد نفسه في سباق مع الزمن للعودة إلى - ازقارد- ليوقف الراقناروك، ونبوءة تدمير عالمه ونهاية حضارة - أزقارديان - على يد تهديد جديد قوي - هيلا - القاسية.

تدور أحداث الفيلم حول عميل المسافر عبر الزمن فاليريان (دان ديهان)، والذي يذهب في مهمة لحماية عالم ألفا الشاسع من قوى الظلام التي تحيق بها، وبصحبته شريكته لوريلاين (كارا ديلفن).
