بعد تنفيذ ثانوس خطته الشريرة عقب استيلائه على أحجار اﻷبدية الستة، وقضائه على نصف سكان كوكب اﻷرض، تتفرق السبل بمن ظل حيًا من فريق المنتقمون في كافة اﻷرجاء، لتبقى الكثير من اﻷسئلة المعلقة: هل يوجد أمل باق في الانتصار على ثانوس؟ وهل يوجد ثمة حل ﻹعادة اﻷمور إلى نصابها من جديد؟

تدور أحداث الفيلم حول مجموعة من جنود الفرقة الخاصه، يقودهم الكابتن (داتش شافير) يتم إرسال المجموعة لإنقاذ (جورج ديلون) الدبلوماسي الأمريكي، الذي سقطت طائرته في إحدى غابات أمريكا الجنوبية. ولكنهم يفاجؤوا بوجود شيء ما يقتل أفراد الفريق واحدًا تلو الآخر، وهذا الشيء هو مخلوق فضائي يستطيع التكيف مع أشجار الغابة، ويمكن أن يقوم بإخفاء نفسه وهو يمتلك تقنية دفاعية وهجومية عالية ومتطورة.

الفتاة (سيندي كامبل) تعمل الآن كمحررة صحفية، وهناك شريط فيديو غامض تتحرى عنه، هذا الشريط كل من يشاهده يتعرض للموت في خلال سبعة أيام، وعندما تشاهده (سيندي) تسعى لإنقاذ حياتها، بعدما شاهدت الشريط بنفسها، وذلك فى إطار كوميدي.

تدور احداث الفيلم عندما تخرج من أعماق المحيط وحوش عملاقة آتية من عالم آخر، تقوم بتدمير مدن بأكملها وتودي بحياة الملايين، يقوم البشر بصناعة آليين هائلي الحجم يطلق عليهم "جياجرز" لمحاربة تلك الكائنات، على أن يتم التحكم في كل جياجر عن طريق طيارين من البشر، لكن كل هذا لا يجدي نفعاً أمام تلك المخلوقات الجبارة، وتستمر الحرب لأكثر من 20 عامًا، تكاد فيها حضارة البشر أن تنهار، قبل أن يبزغ أمل جديد في الأفق.

في إطار من الخيال العلمي والحركة، ينطلق رجل وامرأتان في مواجهة محفوفة بالمخاطر ضد مخلوقات متوحشة؛ في سبيل إنقاذ حياة صبي صغير.

يواجه الشقيقان المتباعدان "إم" و"أو جاي" كيانًا غريبًا يتربص في السماء عندما يرثان مزرعة العائلة للخيول عقب موت والدهما المفاجئ.
