بينما كان أعضاء فيلق قاتلي الشياطين و"الهشيرا" يخضعون لبرنامج تدريب جماعي يُعرف بتدريب الهشيرا استعدادًا للمعركة الحاسمة ضد الشياطين، يظهر موزان كيبوتسوجي في قصر عائلة أوبوياشيكي. ومع تعرّض قائد الفيلق للخطر، يندفع تانجيرو والهشيرا إلى المقر الرئيسي، لكنهم يجدون أنفسهم يسقطون في أعماق مكان غامض بفعل يدي موزان. الوجهة التي سقط فيها تانجيرو ورفاقه ليست سوى معقل الشياطين – قلعة اللانهاية. وهكذا، تبدأ ساحة المعركة النهائية بين فيلق قاتلي الشياطين وقوى الشر في الاشتعال.

أخذت القصة من رواية خيالية للأطفال من نفس الاسم وتأليف الكاتبة "ديانا وايني جونز" بطلة القصة هي "صوفي" التي تعيش مع زوجة أبيها وبنتيها بعد وفاة أبيها ، الذي ترك لهم محل لبيع القبعات ، تحولت إلى امرأة عجوز من قبل ساحرة ولذلك خرجت للبحث عن "هاول" الساحر الذي أنقذها من قبل ليرجعها إلى شكلها الطبيعي ، والذي يمتلك قلعة مدهشة وغريبة والتي تبدو وكأنها رجل آلي عملاق وتتحرك بواسطة قوة شيطان النار "كالكفر" فماذا سيحدث بعد ذلك ؟ وهل ستتمكن "صوفي" من استرجاع شكلها السابق؟
