تعيش (سيدني) الفتاة الشابة التي تسكن مع والدها ، والتي لم تلتئم أحزانها الناتجة عن قتل والدتها ، والاعتداء عليها بعد ، كما تعاني أيضا من قتل صديقها، وسرعان ما يأتي دور (سيدني) لتبدأ في تلقي مكالمات من شخص غريب ، يبدأ في تهديدها بتصرفات مماثلة ، في نفس الوقت يسافر والد (سيدني) للخارج ويترك (سيدني) وحدها في المنزل ، فتلجأ لصديقها (بيللي) ليؤنس وحشتها خاصة بعد تلك المكالمات الغريبة ،وتبدأ في الشك في كل من حولها .

تدور أحداث الجزء الثاني حول قصتين متوازيتين؛ الأولى: تتعلق بالابن (مايكل كورليوني) في الخمسينيات من القرن الماضي، بعد نهاية الجزء الأول؛ إذ يسعى للتوسع في نشاط عائلته في أماكن جديدة مثل لاس فيجاس، وهوليوود، وكوبا. والثانية: عودة للماضي لتاريخ الأب (فيتو كورليوني) وطفولته في (صقلية) بإيطاليا في بداية القرن العشرين، هجرته لأمريكا مجبرًا وتأسيسه لعائلة كورليوني الإجرامية في مدينة نيويورك.

في ذروة حرب فيتنام ، أُرسل الكابتن بنيامين ويلارد في مهمة خطيرة "غير موجودة ولن تكون موجودة على الإطلاق" رسميًا. هدفه هو تحديد مكان - والقضاء على - كولونيل غامض للقبعة الخضراء يُدعى والتر كورتز ، والذي كان يقود جيشه الشخصي في مهام حرب العصابات غير المشروعة في أراضي العدو.

النسبة لأفضل الأصدقاء بيكي و هنتر ، تدور الحياة حول التغلب على المخاوف ودفع الحدود. ولكن بعد أن صعدوا 2000 قدم إلى قمة برج راديو مهجور بعيد ، وجدوا أنفسهم محاصرين دون أي وسيلة للأسفل. سيتم الآن وضع مهارات التسلق الخبيرة لدى بيكي و هنتر في الاختبار النهائي حيث يقاتلون بشدة من أجل البقاء على قيد الحياة ، ونقص الإمدادات ، والارتفاعات التي تحفز الدوار في فيلم الإثارة هذا الذي يغذيه الأدرينالين.
