ستنادًا إلى واحدة من أشهر ألعاب الفيديو على اﻹطلاق، تذهب امرأة للبحث عن ابنتها ضمن حدود غريبة، مدينة مهجورة تسمى "سايلنت هيل"، وهناك تقابل سلسلة من اﻷهوال.

(دوني داركو) هو فتى مراهق في السادسة عشرة من عمره، ذكي للغاية لكنه يعاني من عدة اضطرابات نفسية من بينها السير في أثناء النوم، يظهر له أرنب شيطاني عملاق يدعى (فرانك)، يطلب صداقته، ويخبره أن العالم على وشك النهاية، وعليه أن ببتبعه لينجو بنفسه، وبالفعل ينقذه من موت محقق في إحدى المرات، يقوم (داركو) بالعديد من الأعمال بناءً على أوامر (فرانك)، يتعرف على الفتاة الجميلة (جريتشن) ويقعان في الحب، فهل ستنجح في تغيير حياته.
