يجب على الهوبيت الصغير فرودو باجينز ، بعد أن ورث خاتمًا غامضًا من عمه بيلبو ، مغادرة منزله لمنعه من الوقوع في أيدي خالقه الشرير. على طول الطريق ، يتم تشكيل زمالة لحماية حامل الحلقة والتأكد من وصول الحلقة إلى وجهتها النهائية: جبل. الموت المكان الوحيد الذي يمكن تدميره فيه.
يتعرّض "بيلبو" والأقزام لهجوم أخير حين تجتمع الجيوش من جميع أنحاء "العالم الأوسط" عند "الجبل الوحيد" للاستحواذ على مخزون "سموغ" من الذهب.
في عالم اﻷرض الوسطى، يروي الفيلم قصة الهوبيت (بيلبو باجنز) الذي يجد نفسه دون حسابات جزء من مغامرة كبرى مع الساحر (جاندالف) وثلاثة عشر قزمًا يقودهم (ثورين أوكنشيلد)، وذلك بهدف استعادة مملكة اﻷقزام المفقودة التي يحرسها التنين (سموج)، والحصول على الكنز الدفين الكامن في قلبها.
تدور أحداث الفيلم عن مدينة للوحوش. شركة المرعبين المحدودة هي شركة توليد الطاقة للمدينة، والتي تستعمل كمصدر للطاقة صراخ الأطفال، لهذا يحاولون تخويفهم. وفي محاولة أحد الموظفين (راندل) بالاتفاق مع مدير الشركة أبو عنكبوت لتوفير الطاقة والتي أصبحت الشركة تعانى من قلتها بسبب عدم خوف الاطفال من المخوفاتيه يقوم هذا الموظف باختراع جهاز مهمته أن يأخذ الصراخ من الأطفال بالقوه. يكتشف شلبى سلوفان عن وجود باب بعد ساعات العمل، ومن هذا الباب تدخل طفله إلى مدينة المرعبيين. وهنا تبدأ الأحداث حيث يسعى شلبى سلوفان وماردوشوشنى إلى إعادة الطفلة إلى بيتها في ظل مطاردة من اندل للقبض على الطفلة وتجربة الجهاز عليها. أثناء هذه المطاردة يكتشفون ان مدير الشركة أبو عنكبوت مشترك في هذه الجريمة. وبعد عدة أحداث يتم القبض على أبو عنكبوت ويتم نفى اندل إلى عالم البشر. كما يكتشفون مصدر جديد للطاقة بدلا من تخويف وهو الضحك. ويستلم شلبى سلوفان إدارة الشركة والتي تعود للنمو من جديد.
يستكمل بيلبو باجينز رحلته الملحمية إلى الجبل مصحوبًا بـ 13 قزمًا يقودهم ثورين أوكينشيلد وجاندالف الرمادي، لاستعادة مملكة الأقزام المفقودة إيريبور. بعد نجاتهم. في بداية رحلتهم غير المتوقعة يواصل شركاء الرحلة التقدم إلى الشرق، ويواجهون على طول الطريق الكثير من الأعداء في غابة ميركوود الغادرة. وبعد الهروب من قبضة جن الغابة الخطيرين، يبدأ الأقزام رحلتهم إلى ليك تاون، وأخيرًا إلى جبل الوحيد نفسه، حيث يواجهون التنين الأخير في الأرض الوسطى سموج، المخلوق الأكثر إرعابًا من أي شيءٍ آخر، والذي لن يختبر فقط مدى شجاعتهم، ولكن عمق الصداقة بينهم أيضًا.
يتعرض مجموعة من العلماء أثناء وجودهم في سفينةٍ فضائيةٍ لكميةٍ كبيرةٍ من آشعة جاما، تكسبهم قوةً خارقةً، يكونون فريقًا يطلقون عليه (الأربعة المذهلين) مستخدمين قوتهم في مواجهة الشر. وتتوالى الأحداث في إطارٍ مثيرٍ ومشوق.

The Invisible Man is a Sci-Fi American television series starring Vincent Ventresca, Paul Ben-Victor, Eddie Jones, Shannon Kenny and Michael McCafferty. Somewhat more successful than previous television series involving invisible secret agents, it aired from June 9, 2000 to February 1, 2002, lasting two seasons. The plot revolves around Darien Fawkes, a thief facing life imprisonment who was recruited by a low-rent spy organization and given the power of invisibility via implantation of a special "Quicksilver gland" in his head. The gland allows Fawkes to secrete a light-bending substance called "Quicksilver" from his pores and follicles. The substance quickly coats his skin, hair, nails and clothes and renders him invisible. He can consciously release the Quicksilver, which then flakes off and disintegrates. However, the Quicksilver gland was sabotaged at its creation by scientist Arnaud DeFehrn to release a neurotoxin that accumulates in the bloodstream and causes intense pain, followed by antisocial behavior and psychosis. The host requires regular doses of "counteragent" to keep him sane and healthy, which is controlled by said government agency. This series lasted for two seasons, before being cancelled due to cost issues and internal bickering between the Sci Fi Channel and its then-parent company, USA Networks. The show's first season ran concurrently in first-run syndication as well as on Sci Fi.
Sam Casey is an agent for INTERSECT, a government think-tank and operations center specializing in secret missions. While on a diving assignment, Sam was affected by the radiation from an underwater explosion. The radiation rendered him invisible, but INTERSECT devised a way to control his invisibility, by fitting him with a computerized watch that kept him visible. He could, however, shut it off, and become invisible again, for short periods of time. If he did this for more than 15 minutes in any 24 hour period he would die. This ability to become invisible made him a very effective agent.
Dr. Daniel Westin creates a formula to be used for matter transformation. To test the formula he uses it on himself. Before he can return to normal he discovers the government wants to use his formula for wrong, so he destroys it. Being unable to become visible again, he and his wife become agents for KLAE fighting crime.
British scientist Peter Brady, while working on an invisibility formula, suffers a tragic accident which turns himself invisible. Unfortunately, there is no antidote, so, while working on a method to regain his visibility, he undertakes missions for his government stopping bad guys.
