تدور احداث الفيلم حول (جاك) في طريقه للفوز بجائزة نقدية في سباق سيارات غير قانوني من المكسيك إلى كاليفورنيا، عندما تقفز امرأة يائسة، تهرب من صديقها العصابي الذي يدير البطولة، إلى سيارته وتناشده للمساعدة.

استكمالًا لأحداث الأجزاء السابقة، بعد مقتل (أوين شو) وفريقه أصبح بإستطاعة دومينيك (فان ديزيل) وبرايان (بول ووكر) وفريقهما العودة إلي الولايات المتحدة وعيش حياةٍ طبيعيةٍ مُجددًا، ولكن (إيان) الأخ الأكبر لـ(أوين) يسعي للإنتقام لمقتل أخيه من دومينيك، وبالتالي تصمم العصابة بأكملها علي الانتقام من الرجل الذي قام بقتل صديقهم.

يدور العمل في إطار مستوحى من أحداث حقيقية، حول المنافسة الشرسة بين شركتي تصنيع السيارات أودي ولانسيا، خلال بطولة العالم للرالي عام 1983.
