برنامجٌ متطوّرٌ للغاية يُدعى "آريس" يُرسَل من العالم الرقمي إلى العالم الحقيقي في مهمةٍ خطيرة، ليمثل أولَ اتصالٍ للبشرية مع كائناتٍ ذكيةٍ اصطناعية.

تدور أحداث الفيلم داخل نظام الكمبيوتر (ENCOM)، حيث يقوم برنامج للألعاب الإلكترونية صممه (فلين كيفن) أثناء اللعبة بتحدي برنامج المراقبة الرئيسي، مما يتسبب في فوضى ودمار في أنحاء الشبكة، التي تقوم في إطار فانتازي بسحب مصممها إلى الداخل ليتحول إلى شخصية إلكترونية، داخل صراع محتوم يؤدي إلى الموت، بينما يحاول ابنه (شون فلين) البحث عن والده ليكتشف أن البرنامج صنع حالة من الفوضى في النظام فيقرر هو الأخر الدخول لإنقاذه.

تتعرّض محلّلة نظم حواسيب للاستهداف بعد أن تكتشف مؤامرة بالصدفة عبر قرص مرن غامض، ممّا يجبرها على الهروب لتبرئة اسمها.

It's been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song, has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it.

Three computer-savvy kids, Naoto, Yuka and Ippei created their own videogame superhero, but then discover it possessed by an inter-dimensional police officer, Gridman. Pursuing an evil program called Kahn Digifer, he merges with Naoto and fights Kahn Digifer's digitized monsters in order to prevent the computerized demon from wreaking havoc on the Human World.

World on a Wire (German: Welt am Draht) is a two-part 1973 West German science fiction television serial broadcast on ARD. Shot on 16 mm film, the two-part miniseries is drected by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, who co-writes the screenplay with Fritz Müller-Scherz, based on Daniel F. Galouye's 1964 novel Simulacron-3. In the future, Simulacron, a computer project simulating reality, encounters strange occurrences after its leader's death. Dr Fred Stiller questions the sudden disappearance of a friend and wonders if Simulacron holds the answers.
