بعد التخطيط لتنفيذ إحدى المهام، يرسل (جيم فيليبس) مع زوجته (كلير) وشريكه (إيثان هانت) إلى مدينة (براغ)، وتفشل المهمة ولا ينجو سوى (إيثان هانت)، ويبدأ مدير الوكالة بالشك في (إيثان) بأنه السبب الرئيسي لفشل هذه المهمة، فيحاول إثبات براءته بمختلف الطرق والأساليب الممكنة واكتشاف المتورط الحقيقي.
العودة إلى المصدر. تعاني حياة نيو من ذكريات غريبة ، وتأخذ منعطفا غير متوقع عندما يجد نفسه مرة أخرى داخل المصفوفة.

تدور أحداث القصة حول سرقة فيروس مميت يُدعى (كميرا) والمصل الخاص به، يتعين على العميل (إيثان هانت) منع انتشار الفيروس، والذي يؤدي للوفاة في حالة الإصابة به خلال ساعات معدودة، يكون على إيثان أن يسترجع مصل الفيروس من (شين آمبروز) الذي ينوي بيع المصل المضاد لمجموعة من الإرهابيين للحصول على الأموال الطائلة بعد نشر الفيروس في العالم كله، يستعين إيثان باللصة المحترفة (نياه) لمساعدته في استرجاع المصل والفيروس، إلا أنه سرعان ما يقع في حبها، يسعى إيثان لإنقاذ حبيبته من موت محتم بعد أن تصاب بالفيروس، في الوقت الذي يتوجب عليه إفشال مخطط نشر الفيروس.
يتقاعد العميل (إيثان هانت) من عمليات التدريب، لكن يُطلب منه العودة للعمل مرة أخرى لمواجهة تاجر سلاح ومعلومات دولية، يقوم (إيثان) بإعادة لم شمل فريقه بهدف تنفيذ مهمة جديدة، وتتعرض زوجته للخطر أثناء تنفيذ العملية، ويُضطر إيثان لتمديد وقت المهمة بهدف إنقاذ زوجته.

Ctrl is an American comedy web series by NBC. It is the first stand-alone web series launched by a major television network. It is an adaptation and expansion of the short film Ctrl Z by Robert Kirbyson, which was a winner at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. CTRL was spotted and developed by SXM from the original short film Ctrl Z, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. SXM ultimately partnered with NBC's digital studio to produce the online series. After NBC shut the digital studio in 2011, all rights reverted to SXM, who are currently developing Season 2 with Yahoo and a private investor. As of early 2012, the episodes appear to have been removed from the NBC website, but can be found on Hulu.
