تدور أحداث الفيلم في إطار كوميدي ساخر. يعيش شون (سيمون بيج) حياة تعيسة، فلا يوجد لديه أية طموحات فى الحياة، ويعيش برفقة صديقه إد (نيك فروست)؛ الذى يقضى معه معظم وقت فراغه فى الحانة. تتخلى حبيبته (ليز) عنه، وهو ما يدفع شون إلى السعي لاستعادة حبها من جديد، ولكن فى الوقت ذاته، تتعقد الأمور بغتة في مدينة لندن، ويتحول الكثير من سكانها إلى موتى أحياء. لا يصدق شون فى البداية ما يحدث حوله، ويدرك أن عليه خوض أول مغامرة حقيقية فى حياته برفقة صديقه إد وحبيبته ليز.

كريج وسموكي شابان في لوس أنجلوس يتسكعا في الشرفة بعد ظهر يوم الجمعة ، يدخنان ويشربان ، ويبحثان عن شيء ليفعله.

أرنب مراهق يُدعى إي. بي. وفي عشية توليه إدارة أعمال العائلة، هرب إي. بي. إلى هوليود لتحقيق حلمه في أن يصبح عازفاً على الطبول، وفي طريقه إلى نيويورك يقابل فريد العاطل ذو الأهداف الخيالية الذي يصدم إي. بي. بسيارته عن طريق الخطأ، بعدها تبدأ المغامرة باستضافة إي. بي. في منزل فريد ليفاجأ فريد بأسوأ ضيف دخل بيته على الإطلاق.

(بيرنان) و(دال) عاطلان، يمكثان في منزلي أسرتيهما، يقرر والد أحدهما الزواج من والدة الآخر، فيجدا نفسيهما مضطرين للحياة معًا في منزل واحد بل في غرفة واحدة، ويختلفا معا كثيرًا فيحتد عليهما الأب ويمنحهما مهلة أسبوع، من أجل العثور على وظيفة ويضطرا إلى التعاون معًا لتجنب تلك المشكلة والعثور على عمل.

يدور الفيلم في إطار كوميدي، وذلك حين يقرر الصديقان ميتش وديف تبديل حياتهم معًا ولو لحين، ويفاجأ الصديقان بانقلاب حياتهما رأسا على عقب بعد إقدامهما على هذه الخطوة.

Four mates waste their twenties in a West Country village. Morpheus, a geeky conspiracy theorist runs a mystical souvenir shop with his unambitious sister, Sarah. His scrounger best friend Kent sleeps on their sofa rent-free, and his secret crush, Alison, runs a new age healing business at the back of the shop. Mixing the misadventures of twenty something life with visually surreal set pieces, it's about the very bad things that really good friends do to each other, when they've been living in each other's pockets since school. 

After getting plastered with absinthe the two slackers Jacob and David find a pizza box on which they deliriously wrote a thesis for a new religion. On the internet solvent followers join their church and soon their Pay Pal account is bursting at the seams. Because of their intensive passion for video games, they hire Eva, who is supposed to manage the pastoral counseling. To make themselves seem reputable in front of the tax authorities and be able to circulate an actual offertory bag, a real church has to be built. Coincidentally Eva just met a carpenter. Seems to be a nice guy. His name is Jesús.
