In dystopic times, after a law that prohibits laughter was approved, people live in an environment of fear and mistrust. The freedom to express any kind of joy in public no longer exists. As part of the resistance, a group of actors and scriptwriters decide to create a clandestine movement allowing people to laugh in secret. Everything else is noise.

Reality is much stranger than fiction. There is a scandal that could be revealed and the Portuguese Government is nervous. The Minister of Culture and her team have a crazy idea that, for that reason, can work: to produce, together with Brazil, the biggest and most spectacular telenovela of all time: "Corte Tropical".

Aníbal Augusto Milhais The most important desire to live in peace was persecuted by the name of Portugal. The story comes from the memories of war, those stirred up during a hunt. In this quest, Millions carrying out their struggle for survival 20 years before in World War I free. At dawn on April 9, 1918, dozens of German divisions burst through the sector defended by the second division of the Portuguese Expedited Corps (CEP). In a few hours, in what would be known as the Battle of La Lys, more than 7,500 men were lost. Milhais refuses the orders of Captain and is alone, before a regiment of German soldiers, to save its affiliations. Milhais faces his biggest challenge. He is the only one of his friends.

After the passing of his wife, Camilo, an elderly man, goes to his son and daughter-in-law's house and starts living with them, to their great misfortune.

A love as large as the world itself... Pedro has just returned to the city where he was born and spent most of his life, but mysteriously disappeared without a trace for 20 years. The reasons for his disappearance have always been cause for speculation, as he was something of a celebrity in the city. Despite always denying any direct responsibility, he was known for performing miracles on people's lives by having them look at themselves from a different perspective. In fact, Pedro has the gift of being able to foresee the future. But his visions can be, at the same time, a blessing and a trap. When he was young, he saw his girlfriend Carmen dressed as a bride laying in a coffin and wearing an engagement ring that he assumed was his. It was as if fate was warning him... Pedro ends up getting involved with Manuela and have a daughter with her named Sofia. Still, he goes through a rough period and receives a serious death threat that makes him leave everything behind.

The border between the North of Portugal and Galicia is the biggest drug entry point in Europe. History not only reflects the reality of clans but also engages in social implications.
