Svijet koji Neo poznaje od rodjenja je samo simulacija napravljena kako bi mašine lakše kontrolisale ljude dok ih drže na aparatima preko kojih dolaze do potrebne energije. Morfeus je ubjeđen da je Neo Odabrani, za kojim je tragao cjeloga života. Čovjek koji po legendi ima neograničenu kontrolu nad Matriksom i koji će odvesti ljude u pobjedu nad mašinama.

Nastavak megahita "Osvetnici" iz 2012. godine.
