There children, (teenagers) find their conflict silly and stupid.

In the main protagonist’s household, his wife, Ilsebil, calls all the shots. Even on his own birthday he cannot get a word in edgewise, and when some friends invite him out for the evening, his wife takes the key to the front door so he cannot get out.
