As a retired actor he has a number of stories to tell which he stores using a portable tape recorder, and during Christmas time he dresses as Santa Claus. Though widely known in Iceland, Ketill remains a mysterious figure and an exception to the social norm. Joseph Marzolla and Tomas Lemarquis have created a film where the reality and the fantastical world of Ketill´s creations meet in an unforgettable journey. Ketill is a remarkable personality, who has a number of stories to tell and unusual experiences to share. He is a true artist, dedicated to his art and poetic in his everyday life.

Íþróttaálfurinn has managed to change the villagers' negative attitude towards sports, healthy food and all diligence. As Kalli struggles to convince his brother that giving someone a mail-order bride on their birthday is not the right thing to do, he realizes what a sociopath his brother really is. And though he doesn’t want to admit it to himself, he too has some serious women issues and does not respect them as human beings. In the end the film shows how so many men treat women like objects. Although the film deals with serious issues it does so in a light and absurd way so the laughs are plenty and never far between.
