A lady seeks a bride for her son

The story is about a man that has been trapped on a pineapple farm; only when he gains enough pineapples will he be allowed to leave. But on the last day, the truck that is supposed to pick up the pineapples doesn't show up. As the protagonist is waiting for the truck, he is also reminded about how and why he is trapped on this god damned farm.

However, he got moral support from his uncle, who became the village head. She was often harassed by three men who were so married that they were willing to use force. Yet he was able to maintain his dignity. The villagers began to accept his presence.

Pressured by outsider entities to proceed with an annual tradition which isn’t in her best interest, the mother must navigate against what could be an unwanted reality. However, eventuality looms over the fate of her daughter.
