Na cestě za znovuzískáním jejich těl budou bratři Elricové nuceni překročit další tabu – morální i alchymistická. Jenomže po kameni pase i někdo další...

Paříž, rok 1830. Ve městě řádí maskovaný vrah, známý jako Alchymista. Po jeho stopách se vydává nejúspěšnější francouzský vyšetřovatel, legendární François Vidocq. V nelítostném souboji je ale poražen a zdá se, že zabijáka už nikdo nemůže zastavit. Ve Vidocqově pátrání se ovšem rozhodne pokračovat mladík Etienne Boisset, spisovatel který o detektivovi původně připravoval knihu. Na jeho pouti temným pařížským podsvětím čeká mnoho smrtících nebezpečí i tajemství, která neměla být nikdy odhalena.

Historicky první filmové ztvárnění adaptace románu Frankenstein. Příběh vypráví o doktorovi, který stvořil monstrum. Později toho však litoval, protože se jeho experiment vymkl kontrole. Film je němý, pouze za doprovodu hudby.

Ten si poradí s proradnými dvořany, vydá užitečná nařízení a Golemovu sílu využije pro blaho všech.
