Hrdiny filmu Odpad jsou tři kluci, jejichž domovem je centrální skládka v brazilském Riu. Každý den ji prohledávají v naději, že najdou něco, co jim alespoň na chvíli zlepší život. Netuší, že už ten příští nález jejich životy nenávratně změní. Tím mimořádným nálezem je peněženka, která obsahuje zdánlivě nesouvisející změť poznámek, výstřižků a jeden klíč. Když se o ni ale začne zajímat policie a nabídne jako nálezné značnou sumu, uvědomí si, že našli asi něco hodně důležitého. Rozhodnutím nevydat nález do rukou úřadům se vydají na vzrušující a dobrodružnou, ale nebezpečnou cestu, jejíž směr jim bude pomáhat určovat právě obsah peněženky. Ten totiž není standardním nepořádkem, který máme v peněžence všichni, ale důmyslným kódem, jehož rozlousknutí může jednoho vysoce postaveného člověka pořádně klepnout přes prsty. I proto policie rozjela tak usilovné pátrání. Čím blíž jsou k rozluštění záhady, tím je nebezpečí větší. Ostatně, komu by chyběli tři kluci, kteří žijí na skládce?

The fate of the world rests on Ueki, an average junior high student. Average until he gains the power to change trash into trees. Granted to him by the enigmatic Mr K., Ueki’s strange power forces him to participate in the 100-fighter "Battle of Supernatural Powers." Ciao Darwin is a variety game show format from Italy sold under licence to several countries, including Romania, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Canada, USA, China and Greece. There are two competing teams of about 50 people each, usually made up of people who fit certain opposing stereotypes. In each game two members of the audience are selected at random, one from each team, indicated by a light in front of them which remains illuminated when all the other team members' lights have gone off. The games involve contestants competing in acts of bravery, style and talent, some of which are designed to humiliate the contestants, especially an assault course which was introduced with the Italian version in 2010, and the Finale which is a water tank game.
