Podobně jako Danis Tanović v Zemi nikoho přibližuje i scenárista a režisér Rowland ve svém debutu politické téma s lakonickým humorem vycházejícím z absurdity situace, aniž by však ztrácel ze zřetele její humanistický rozměr.
