Od prvního dílu v Narnii uběhlo spousta času a opět ji sužuje zlo. Tentokrát v podobě občanské války. Jediný kdo zemi může zachránit je princ Kaspian, který požádá o pomoc naši známou čtveřici.
Edmund a Lucinka, dvě nejmladší z dětí Pevensieových, tráví prázdniny u svých příbuzných společně se svým nesnesitelným bratrancem Eustacem. Často tu vzpomínají na Narnii a na dobrodužství, které tam zažili, když jednoho dne z ničeho nic ožije obraz lodi, který visí v Lucinčině pokoji a oni se skrz něj dostávají zpátky do Narnie. Bohužel i s bratrancem Eustacem. Z moře, kam se pomocí obrazu přenesli, je zachraňuje král Kaspian desátý, kterému děti v předchozím díle, společně se sourozenci Petrem a Zuzanou, pomohly ke královskému trůnu. Nyní se mladý král na své lodi s podivným názvem Jitřní Poutník vydává splnit svou přísahu a najít sedm ztracených lordů z Narnie, kteří se kdysi dávno ztratili během nebezpečné výpravy. Pevensieovi si samozřejmě takové dobrodružství nemohou nechat ujít, jsou štastni, že jsou zpět v kouzelném království, a tak opět stanou po Kaspianově boku a plují s ním podél nebezpečných ostrovů, ale také přátelskými vodami a všude zažívají veliká dobrodužství.
Svérázná dívka se přemění na kočku, aby si jí všiml vysněný kluk. Hranice mezi člověkem a zvířetem je ale mnohem tenčí, než si původně myslela.
Ve filmovém pokračování Kono subarashii sekai ni shukufuku wo! a Kono subarashii sekai ni shukufuku wo! 2 se opět vrací Kazuma Satō a jeho parta. Tentokrát jsou vyplašeni dopisem od Yunyun, ve kterém se píše, že se mají dostavit do vesnice klanu Karmínových Démonů. Banda se tam rozhodne jít a využijí tam trochu času, který jim zbyl, ale potíže začnou vznikat poté, co se objeví nepřátelský generál!
Ve filmovém pokračování seriálu Youjo senki (2017) se opět podíváme do alternativního světa zmítaného válkou, konkrétně do roku 1926.
