All this activity happens under the watchful gaze of a bunch of bored and lazy Prison Officers doing the bare minimum to get the job done. The BBC revealed The Visit is part of a series trilogy with I'm With Stupid and Thieves Like Us; although sadly none of these sitcoms received a second series.

Trexx and Flipside is a multi-platform British sitcom shown as part of BBC Three's spring schedule. It follows the story of Trexx and Flipside, two "wannabe hip hop stars". The duo are managed by "Wu Hah Management", as shown in the first episode. The show premiered on Sunday, 6 July 2008 at 11PM. The cast includes Rebecca Atkinson, known to British audiences for her work on Shameless. It also stars Rich Fulcher, who shot to fame as Bob Fossil in the cult TV hit The Mighty Boosh, and BBC 1Xtra DJ MistaJam as Trexx. David Ajala, who plays 'Flipside', has played Sean Campbell on Dream Team and had recently appeared in 'The Dark Knight', credited as 'Bounty Hunter #2', and appears in the scene where The Joker is brought in a bin-liner to the residence of one of the Gotham Mobsters. The show also starred Actor and musician Tyronne Lewis as Trexx and Flipside's nemesis B-ICE.

Personal Affairs is a six-part 2009 BBC Three comedy-drama miniseries created and written by Gabbie Asher. A quartet of Desperate Workwives—Lucy Baxter, Nicole Palmerston-Amory, Michelle Lerner, and Doris Siddiqi—try to break through the glass ceiling.

Films that take a mischievous approach to serious issues

Straight-laced Luke inadvertently finds himself sentenced to two years in Young Offender Institution Sunnybank View after becoming a bank robber’s getaway driver, along with the bank robber in question, his girlfriend’s brother and so-called friend - Jason. To make matters worse he has to share a cell with Jason. Luke will have to rely on Jason’s street smarts to get him through. Unfortunately, Jason is a massive idiot.

I'm with Stupid is a British television programme starring Paul Henshall and Mark Benton. The series was created by BBC Comedy North. Peter Keeley was series consultant and it was written by Danny Peak. The original pilot episode aired on BBC Three in March 2005. The main character, Paul, portrayed by disabled actor Paul Henshall, has cerebral palsy and Mark Benton's character, Sheldon, is a homeless man who Paul takes in to Bramble Lodge and offers him a place to stay. Bramble Lodge is a home for disabled people governed by Jean. The cast also includes Alan Martin as Graham, Kevin Davids as Syd, Cherylee Houston as Dorothy and Steve Edge as Sergeant Swithenback. The series aired from 10 September to 15 October 2006 on BBC Three.

Marc Wootton Exposed is a television sketch comedy show, written by Marc Wootton and Liam Woodman, and starring character comedian Marc Wootton, who plays numerous in-depth characters, with obscured humour situations, in the form of monologues. The characters are introduced through the point of view of a photographer taking their pictures in a studio, and the show looks beyond the fake poses and into the life of the person beneath. The series was filmed over late August 2007 and ran from 13 January 2008 to 25 February 2008 on BBC Three. The Song We are your friends By Justice V Simian features in the programme's opening and closing credits.
