While a few Hollywood celebrities such as James Stewart and Clark Gable saw combat during World War II, the majority used their talents to rally the American public through bond sales, morale-boosting USO tours, patriotic war dramas and escapist film fare. Comedian David Steinberg plays host for this star-studded, 90-minute documentary, which looks at the way Tinseltown helped the United States' war effort.

Marta Vendyšová grew up in a wealthy family and married a well-known and successful architect. Soon after the start of World War I, she received news that her husband had been killed at the front. Among the things his friend from the front gave her was a medallion with a child's face, which she had never seen on her husband. She decides to track down the donor.

In the 26th century the inhabitants of Utopia have so lost their individuality, which varies in number. They live in glass houses (this was written before the invention of television), which allows the political police, called “Keepers” can easily supervise them. They all wear the same uniform and usually turn to each other or as a ”cipher-so” or "UNIFEM" (uniform). They feed on artificial food and rest hour marching in fours in a row the anthem of the One State, pouring out of the loudspeakers. As they are allowed to put a break on the hour (known as the ”sexy time“), draw the curtains of their glass houses. At the head of the One State is one called The Benefactor, which are replaced every year the whole population, usually unanimously. The guiding principle of the State is that happiness and freedom are incompatible.

An artist is plagued by nightmares of a love triangle and murder. A psychic says the dream figure is his brother, a "troubled soul" from an ancient past life. Nearly born as his twin but miscarried, this past life rival now breaks through in nightmares in attempt to repeat history.

A Spanish police chief hires an undercover agent, Eagle, to infiltrate a gang of heroin smugglers. Infiltrating the gang, he uses a female agent as a point of contact. However he discovers that there bigger goings-on than dope. The gang is involved in the transportation of smuggled uranium for the manufacture of nuclear arms for sale to Libya and other aspiring third world countries.

A casino security guard is forced into violence from when the Hong Kong mob threatens his friends.

Island farmer Banana Joe helps the local community by trading his bananas for goods. When gangsters arrive with plans to construct a banana processing plant, Joe kicks them out, but the mob boss discovers that Joe is operating without a license. After the mob tips off the authorities and Joe's boat is impounded, he ventures into a big city for the first time to seek help.

16-year-old Mikael is the gang leader of the infamous Fonzie gang that wreaked havoc in Stockholm in 1980. He shares a home with his mother, who is a taxi driver by profession. She is completely unaware of what her son does in the evenings. One day, he is picked up by the police right in front of her eyes and their lives change forever.

In a South Moravian wine-growing village in the early 1970s lives an old man who cannot accept the attitude of the younger generation towards nature and agriculture. Director Hynek Bočan made a number of films based on Jan Kostrhun's drafts, mostly set in the South Moravian environment (including The Face Behind the Glass), but the portraits were very flat. Relationships between people were often depicted in predictable schemes. The hero this time is an old villager who is struggling to cope with the changes in his attitude to nature and to agricultural work in general. He sees his only hope in his grandson, to whom he tries to pass on his life experience.

Stern, intelligent Sylvia, a lawyer, finally met her match. Only that the person is a woman, and was convicted of murder.

The story takes place in Italy, a country where terrorism and kidnappings are almost daily occurrences. Rampant banditry, injustice, coercion, and ultimately hopelessness stem from political events. Sunny Italy is no longer just a place of ancient monuments and tables laden with fine wine. Now it is primarily a place of ever-deepening social and political divisions.

A man remembers forty-eight crucial hours in his life when, as a child, he visited his mother, the favorite woman of an important politician, in a bordello owned by him, right before some important political changes in 1937 Brazil. In those hours, he discovers his own sexuality.

Emigrants rarely do well abroad, which is why they often return to their homeland. At least, that's what the film The Poachers claims. But the long years of separation and different experiences create alienation, and the returnees lose touch with their loved ones. This is exactly what happens to the main character, who cannot understand the changes that the Czech village has undergone. Neither with his son nor with his wife can he find common ground. Although the director Hynek Bočan relies on expressive portrayal, the basic problem of the story remains its lifelessness.

At the Movies is a movie review television program that aired from 1982 to 1990. It was produced by Tribune Entertainment and created by Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, who had left Sneak Previews the previous year. Siskel and Ebert left in 1986 in a dispute with Tribune Entertainment; they went on to create Siskel & Ebert with Buena Vista Television. They were replaced by film critics Rex Reed and Bill Harris, a gossip correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Under Reed and Harris, the show expanded beyond movie reviews, adding show business news. Harris left in 1988 and was replaced by former ET host Dixie Whatley.

The sequel to The Yagyu Conspiracy picks up when Yagyu Jubei (Sonny Chiba) has a falling out with the Shogun, and sets out on his own as a wanted man. Featuring the martial art skills of Sue Shiomi (Sister Streetfighter) as she is on official patrol with Jubei watching over her, making sure that he gets to fight in each episode as well. This is one of the best and most exciting television series to ever hit the airwaves.

Whoops Apocalypse is a six-part 1982 British sitcom by Andrew Marshall and David Renwick, made by London Weekend Television for ITV. Marshall and Renwick later reworked the concept as a 1986 film of the same name from ITC Entertainment, with almost completely different characters and plot, although one or two of the original actors returned in different roles. As the Apocalypse nears, US President Johnny Cyclops tries to run a reelection campaign whilst also dealing with the Russians, a deposed Shah needing to be hidden, and a new weapon called a 'quark' bomb.

Three friends, Cai Shouyi, Ke Zhaowen, and Chen Jilian, meet a beautiful girl named Yu Huizhi while camping. They all fall in love with her and decide to compete fairly for her affection. Shouyi wins her over, but Zhaowen creates a love triangle, causing pain for all involved. Despite this, the friends share a love of music and successfully enter the entertainment industry. Huizhi becomes a popular singer, but her success makes Zhaowen feel insecure and unhappy, leading to intense competition between their two managers.

The story revolves around a young ambitious girl . Due to her father's early death, her family is not so well-off and she dreams of being rich and prosperous like her friend.

Herbie the Matchmaker, also known as Herbie, The Love Bug, is a short-lived situation comedy that aired on CBS in the spring of 1982. The series is based on Walt Disney Productions' popular Herbie film series, about a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own. It was cancelled after five episodes and, for the next fifteen years, would mark Herbie's last new appearance in either television or film; Herbie would next return to television in the 1997 film The Love Bug.

Huo Dongjue is Huo Yuanjia's son, and he and Huo Yuanjia's apprentice Chen Zhen are dependent on each other. The two travel around the world, enjoying their grudges. After learning that Huo Dongjue had been kidnapped, Chen Zhen was extremely anxious and immediately decided to bravely break into the tiger's den alone. However, there were so many enemies that Chen Zhen was outnumbered, and was eventually killed by Sato's trick. However, before his death, Chen Zhen was so heroic that he greatly weakened the power of Sato's party and promoted the glory of China.
