Unemployed Glaswegian thespians Mickey and Joe decide to quit Scotland and make a fresh start for themselves in Los Angeles. But their arrival in the US doesn't bring any change to their fortunes, and after a failed attempt to find acting work in Tinseltown, the unlucky twosome end up in Las Vegas, where they lose all their money at the gaming tables. When they are then approached by a gangster who suggests that they rob a local casino, the hapless Scots think they must be due a change in their fortunes and decide to give it a try.

With Pinoko's guidance, Matsuzaki is saved by a genius surgeon, BJ, in exchange for exorbitant fees. However, Matsuzaki is captured by the police. Meanwhile, Reiko, a female detective who pursues Matsuzaki and other organizations, tries to solve a mystery by conducting an independent investigation. It turns out Matsuzaki was found dead.

Those Were the Days... is a 2000 Hong Kong film directed by Raymond Yip. The film is a spin-off/prequel of the Young and Dangerous film series, as it follows the life of Chicken Chiu (Jordan Chan) before he joined the triads with the boss Chan Ho Nam (Ekin Cheng).

A childish and naive Luka, teenager whose world are action TV series and computer games, does not differ reality from fantasies, thus becoming a victim of his slightly older so-called friends who often take advantage of him. This coming-of-age story from Japan opens just after 17-year-old Sataka has gotten dumped by her boyfriend. When her mother is hospitalized with a malignant stomach ulcer, Sataka is left alone with her emotionally repressed father; whiling away the hours one day, she comes across a love letter written to her mother 24 years earlier. Deciding to track down the letter's author, Sataka eventually finds Shinichiro (Hiroyuki Sanada), an overweight slob who was abandoned by his wife years earlier and now spends his time hanging around pachinko parlors. Determined to clean him up and reintroduce him to her mother, Sataka nags Shinchiro until he finally agrees to her demands, and a gradual friendship develops between the two as Sataka drags him to the gym and a clothing store. But once Shinchiro's makeover is complete, he turns the tables on his young friend, and when the time comes for him to meet Sataka's mother, all concerned parties find themselves embarking on a new phase in their lives.

Bull is a short-lived American drama series created by Michael S. Chernuchin, who had worked on Law & Order and Brooklyn South in 2000. It was TNT's first original series, and was cancelled in the middle of Season 1. The show's name is in reference to the bull market, but the airing of the series coincided with the dot-com bubble crash that turned what had until then been a bull economy in the United States into a bear market.

Ihara Mitsuru , who grew up in the orphanage "Tsukushien," is a cleaner at Miyazono General Foods, a prestigious company. However, Mitsuru has another side to him: he is a fighter in "Food Fight," a competitive eating gambling game hosted by the chairman of Miyazono General Foods and held in the company's basement, where only bigwigs from the political and business world can participate. 8 years ago, Western Civilization visited 19th century Japan. Mechanized dolls and new steam-powered creations began spreading throughout the country. The Wind Gang is a group of doll and steam users who believe in using their creations to violently bring about a new Industrial Era. They attack and destroy the peaceful village of a young doll user named Hiwou one day. Hiwou and his friends escape with a giant doll named Homura. Hiwou now wants to find his father, so that he can help defeat the Wind Gang, and bring peace back to Japan.

Urban Gothic was a horror based series of short stories shown on Channel 5 running for two series between May 2000 and December 2001. Filmed on a low budget and broadcast in a later time-slot, it nonetheless acquired a following. It has also since been repeated on the Horror Channel. Set around London there is an underlying story thread that only becomes clear in the last episodes of each series. Each episode was different in style from the others, running the gamut of documentary-style independent film to spoof, to slick dramas similar in style to The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone.

There Angkor meets Pookong Kan, who was secretly sent to investigate the case of several missing and deadly war weapons that may be linked to a few of the officer's corruption. By chance, Angkor gets mixed up and becomes an important witness to the murder of Pookong Kan's comrades by Muad Rit.
