I det lovløse grænseområde mellem USA og Mexico slutter den unge FBI-agent Kate Macer sig til forsvarsministeriets agent Matt Graver for at deltage i kampen mod de mexicanske narkokarteller. Den lille specialgruppe, der også tæller den hemmelighedsfulde Alejandro, begiver sig ud på deres hemmelige opgave. Snart går det op for Kate, at hun må lægge sin gamle opfattelse af lov og ret bag sig, hvis hun vil overleve.

Da en narkohandel tager en dødbringende drejning, går en afdanket betjent op imod den kriminelle underverden i sin korrupte by for at redde en politikers søn.

Efter sin kones død er den barske L.A. strømer Tom Ludlow begyndt at kigge dybt i flasken. Det eneste Tom har tilbage er politikorpset. Men også det bånd smuldrer, da han bliver anklaget for mordet på en kollega. Selvfølgelig går Tom straks i gang med en efterforskning for at rense sit navn, men det er ikke nemt, når man ikke ved, hvem man kan stole på.

Frank er en professionel juveltyv, der vil trække sig tilbage og gifte sig med Jessie. For at få pensionsopsparingen på plads allierer Frank sig med forbryderbagmanden Leo. Inden længe står Frank imidlertid i gæld til Leo og har svært ved at slippe fri af sin gamle branche.

I dette intense lille drama følger vi knægten Jonas, der er blevet taget ud af skolen for at arbejde på sin fars gård. En dag flytter pigen Casey ind i nabolaget, og det slår gnister mellem hende og Jonas. Jonas begynder at forsømme sine pligter, men da hans far prøver at sætte en stopper for forholdet til Casey, har drengen fået nok. Det unge par prøver at stikke af sammen, men de kommer i problemer, da de opdager, at Caseys far, en lokal politimand, er mere end en lille smule korrupt.

Fandenivoldske Wilee er cykelbud i New York. Hver dag sætter han livet på spil, når han i fuld fart snor sig uden om fortravlede bilister og tusindvis af gnavne fodgængere. Men i dag bliver jobbet ekstra farligt. Wilee skal nemlig aflevere en kuvert, som den korrupte strømer Monday vil have fingre i. Snart går den vilde jagt gennem Manhattans travle gader.

Vi møder den unge FBI agent Joe Pistone, da han prøver at infiltrere mafiaen som den lille smarte juvel ekspert Donnie Brasco. Det garvede mafiamedlem Lefty Ruggieros, der altid er blevet overset, øjner muligheder i den unge knøs og påtager sig at blive Brascos protektor. Og så er helvede ellers løs i mafia-gade.

Den netop løsladte Michael henter en lejet bil efter en lang flyvetur. Snart går det op for ham, at han har fået fat i det helt forkerte køretøj, da han finder en pistol under sædet og en bagbundet kvinde i bagagerummet. Det viser sig at bilen tilhører nogle korrupte politifolk, og der går ikke langt tid før Michael er på flugt fra dem, der burde beskytte ham. Den sydafrikanske instruktør Mukunda Michael Dewil står bag denne intense action-thriller, der udspiller sig in hans hjemland og hovedsageligt foregår i en bil.

Rooster og Turk har overlevet 30 år som kriminalbetjente i New York, og makkerparret overvejer at lægge pistolerne på hylden, da en seriemorder melder sig på scenen. Gerningsmanden har tilsyneladende sat sig for at rense The Big Apple for alle de kriminelle som politiet af den ene eller den anden grund ikke får ram på. Desværre for morderen bliver Rooster og Turk sat på sagen.

Richie franarres sine penge på en pokerhjemmeside. Siden ejes af spillemogulen Ivan Block, og Richie rejser til Costa Rica for at give ham ren besked. I stedet forføres han af Block's overdådige livsstil og løfter om hurtige penge. Block tager Richie under sine vinger, og snart kan Richie leve sine drømme ud. Han ved ikke, at FBI har kig på Block - og at Block pønser på at give dem Richie i stedet.

Journalisten Fletch går ikke af vejen for en god forklædning i jagten på informationer til sine historier. På en sådan mission bliver han tilbudt en stor pose penge af Alan Stanwyk hvis Fletch vil myrde ham. Det synes rapporteren virker en smule underligt, så han begynder at efterforske Stanwyk og hans motiver.

The Ghost Squad was a 2005 British crime drama series produced by Company Pictures, for Channel 4. The show was created by Tom Grieves. Inspired by the real life "Ghost Squad" that existed between 1994 and 1998, secretly investigating police corruption, the premise of the series is that the squad continued to operate in secret after officially being shut down. It starred Elaine Cassidy as a police constable recruited into the squad and Jonas Armstrong as her handler. The show was cancelled after a single seven episode series.

Would Be Kings is a Canadian 4-hour television mini-series directed by David Wellington which aired on CTV on January 27 and January 28, 2008. It stars Currie Graham and Ben Bass as two cousins and best friends working in a corrupted drug-squad .
