En postmester fra Provence bliver forflyttet til Bergues i Nordfrankrig, hvor både folket og dialekten kaldes Chtis. Han ankommer iført dynejakke og en masse fordomme mod de indavlede, fordrukne og regnvåde nordboere. Han lærer dog hurtigt, at disse mennesker er både gavmilde og gæstfri.

Karl Højby Hansen har levet de første 12 år af sit liv i Hvide Sande sammen med sin mor, mormor og morfar. Derfor bliver chokket stort, da hans mor fortæller ham, at de skal flytte til København. Omstillingen bliver svær og absolut ikke hjulpet af, at han skal starte på Rådmandsgades Skole på Nørrebro, hvor 80 procent af børnene er tosprogede, og jargonen hård. Karl begynder hurtigt at planlægge sin flugt tilbage til morfar og mormor og får hjælp fra uventet kant. For i 6B går også tyrkiske Sawsan, der har sat sig for at deltage i finalen i MGP trods sin families modstand. Karl og Sawsan finder stik mod alle odds sammen i en fælles mission vestpå...

Inspector Montalbano is an Italian television series produced and broadcast by RAI since 1999, based on the detective novels of Andrea Camilleri. The protagonist is Commissario Salvo Montalbano, and the stories are set in the imaginary town of Vigata, Sicily. In 2012 the series generated a prequel, Il giovane Montalbano.

Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht is a German comedy television series. It was produced by ZDF in the years 1968 to 1972 and contains 52 episodes. It is set in the German Empire shortly before World War I and revolves around the court proceedings of the Königlich Bayrisches Amtsgericht in the fictional Bavarian small town Geisbach. Almost all actors speak with a Bavarian dialect. The series features many famous Bavarian actors like Gustl Bayrhammer, Hans Baur and Max Grieser.

Cha Tae-hyun and Lee Seung-gi visit and travel around other celebrities’ hometown. In each episode, the two take a local tour guide by a star who was born and raised in the area. From reminiscing memories of the old days in the town to experiencing local culture, and eating out at local must-eat places, this show is full of special courses that have never been introduced before.

Svenska dialektmysterier was a Swedish television series about Swedish dialects. It was hosted by Fredrik Lindström and produced by Marcos Hellberg and broadcast on SVT2 in January–March 2006. The programme can be seen as a continuation of Värsta språket, another series hosted by Lindström. It won the television award Kristallen in the infotainment category.
