Med Union Jack stolt vajende i vinden stævner HMS Torrin ud for at tage i krig. Om bord er hundredvis af mænd med det samme anonyme ansigt, som alle andre soldater, man ser på afstand. Men kameraet sniger sig tættere på, og vi finder ud af, at de er rigtige mennesker.
