Hvis første spørgsmål, når man læser titlen på denne film, er "var der en Joe Dirt 1?!" så er det nok bedst at springe denne opfølger over. Synes man derimod, at den oprindelige Joe Dirt fra 2001 med David Spade er en af de sjoveste film nogensinde, en ikonisk kultklassiker, der bare bliver bedre med årene og har fortjente en plads i komedierne hall-of-fame, og hvis man har ventet halvandet årti på en opfølger, så er Joe Dirt 2 lige den medicin man har brug for!
