Men Chomp har forstuvet foden, så Maja tilbyder at hjælpe. Sammen med deres gamle venner, de røde myrer Arnie og Barney, begiver Maja og Willi sig nu ud på en farefuld færd med mange overraskelser og forhindringer undervejs, hvor Willi opdager nye sider af sig selv og Maja lærer, at tillid er noget, man må gøre sig fortjent til. For ægget klækker nemlig og ud kommer en lille, bedårende myreprinsesse! De tre næsehornsbiller har heller ikke opgivet deres plan, så det bliver ikke nogen let opgave at få prinsessen sikkert hjem til myrekolonien.
