I den familievenlige animationsfilm 'Elementært' begiver man sig ind i en verden af elementer i Element City, hvor ild-, vand-, jord-, og luft bor sammen. I Element City møder man den seje og kvikke ildpige Ilena, der er af den overbevisning at de forskellige elementer ikke skal blande sig og har af den grund aldrig været ude for det ildkvarter, hun bor i. Det er dog indtil en vandskade i hendes fars dagligvareforretning, præsenterer hende for den søde og afslappede vanddreng ved navn Evan. Evan får hurtigt udfordret Ilenas opfattelse, af den verden de bor i og det umage vennepar opdager noget, der er helt elementært: Selvom de er forskellige, så har de mere til fælles end man skulle tro. 'Elementært' er det seneste skud på stammen af Disney og Pixars farverige og fantasifulde animationsfilm. Vær opmærksom på at forestillingen starter ud med en sød kortfilm fra 'Up' universet med titlen 'Carl's Date'.

Solen er ved at dø, og fremtiden tegner selvsagt dystert for jordens befolkning. I et forsøg på at afværge katastrofen bliver det gigantiske rumskib Icarus II sendt af sted mod solen. Om bord er otte astronauter og en enorm atomnyttelast. Missionen er at tænde solen igen. Ikke nogen nem opgave, og da kontakten til jorden forsvinder, og mørket brede sig, synes alt håb efterhånden ude.

I fremtiden bliver vor planet angrebet af en fremmed, krigerisk race. Den internationale flåde forbereder sig på et nyt angreb ved at oplære særligt udvalgte drenge og piger til at bekæmpe fjenden. Blandt de nye rekrutter på militærskolen i rummet er Ender Wiggin. Den unge mand udviser et så ekstraordinært talent for strategi, at officererne udpeger ham til at være Jordens og menneskehedens redningsmand.

Det er ingen tvivl om, at den meget veklædte, men også noget ukoordinerede Dave Ming Chang (Eddie Murphy) adskiller sig markant fra den øvrige befolkning i New York City. Men det er heller ikke så mærkeligt, for han er i virkeligheden ikke et menneske, men et rumskib fra en fjern verden, der er på jorden for at redde sin egen verden. Inde i Daves hoved arbejder rumskibets mikro mandskab desperat for at koordinere deres gigantiske fartøjs bevægelser, tale og udtryk - hvilket desværre ikke altid lykkes helt efter planen...

Santa Claus knapt så kendte bror Fred Claus er familiens sorte får. Denne gang er han endt i fængsel og Santa må stille kaution, men under betingelse af at Fred arbejder sin gæld af på Nordpolen, hvor der skal laves en ordentlig bunke legetøj til jul. Det viser sig dog at være julemandens største fejltagelse til dato, for brormand er ikke sådan lige til at styre.

Den franske luftfotograf Yann Arthus-Bertrand blev verdenskendt med sin bog og udstilling ’Jorden set fra Himlen’. Nu vender han tilbage med ’Home’, den første film nogensinde, der er optaget 100 procent fra luften. Filmens fantastiske billedforløb om jordens tilstand i dag er optaget i 54 forskellige lande med fire filmhold over en periode på 21 måneder, og de bliver akkompagneret af Armand Amars smukke soundtrack.

En talentfuld ung kvinde, Rhoda Williams, med alle muligheder foran sig, får sin skæbne ændret radikalt, da hun en en brandert kører en mor og hendes barn ihjel. Efter at have udtjent sin straf vender hun tilbage og tager et rengøringsjob på sin gamle skole. Hun møder manden, John, hvis familie hun dræbte, og uden at afsløre sig selv begynder hun at hjælpe ham ud af den sump han efterfølgende er sunket ned i. Samtidigt bliver det afsløret, at en hidtil ukendt planet er blevet opdaget. En planet, der ligner en kopi af jorden.

Tidligere vicepræsident Al Gore har forladt politik og i stedet blevet forkæmper for begrænsning af drivhuseffekten. Gore fortæller om den globale opvarmning, hvorfor den er opstået, hvilke konsekvenser den har, og hvad borgere og regeringer kan og bør gøre.

Det hele starter i juleferien, for den tilsyneladende typiske teenager, Will Stanton, da han opdager, at han er langt fra typisk. Som den syvende søn af en syvende søn er Will "The Seeker" - en udvalgt kriger hvis skæbne det er, at genoprette balancen her på jorden mellem Lys og Mørke. Hjulpet på vej af de ældgamle "Beskyttere af Lyset", skal den unge Will rejse gennem tiderne og finde de hemmelige tegn, som rummer den ultimative kraft til at beskytte verden.

Egentlig var Charles Farmer uddannet astrofysiker, men som ung måtte han - meget mod sin vilje - forlade luftvåbnet for at redde familiegården. Nu står Farmer igen i dyb gæld til sin bank. Men end ikke truslen om tvangsauktion skal afholde ham fra at forfølge sin altoverskyggende drøm: at sende sig selv i kredsløb om Jorden i den rumraket, han flikker sammen i sin lade!
