Efter at Rocky er vendt hjem fra sin seneste triumf, opdager han, at alle hans penge er tabt af hans skruppelløse finansrådgiver. For at gøre det hele værre tvinger en kampskade Rocky til at stoppe karrieren. Så Rocky, hans kone Adrian og sønnen Rocky jr. flytter til en billig lejlighed. Der må Rocky prøve at løsne op for den vrede hans søn går rundt med. En bitterhed der vokser, da Rocky begynder at træne en ung talentfuld bokser Tommy Gunn, som hurtigt bliver landskendt. Men Tommy vender sig mod sin læremester - og Rocky bliver snart klar over, at han er nødt til at kæmpe endnu en gang...

Brødrene Walter og Denny skal være alene hjemme. Så kan man godt komme til at kede sig, og det spil, som drengene finder i kælderen, ser ikke umiddelbart ud til at bringe dagen mere morskab. Men man kunne ikke tage mere fejl. Spillet heddder Zathura, og er en portal til en eventyrlig science fiction-verden. Familiens hus ryger simpelthen direkte ud rummet, og her er der ikke tid til at kede sig.

Snart er Craig så beruset, at det sidste han husker, er en knytnæve i ansigtet bag en stripklub. Da han slår øjnene op er efterfesten i fuld gang hjemme hos Colin og Violet i deres luksuriøse hjem. Craig og Vince begiver sig på opdagelse i huset og støder på et åbentstående pengeskab fuld af kontanter. De beslutter sig for at stjæle indholdet, men Colin og Violet er ikke helt så ukomplicerede, som de giver sig ud for at være - hvilket de efterfølgende timer kommer til at bevise. Pludseligt har kampen om det daglige brød udviklet sig til noget ganske andet. Og hvor langt er de egentligt villige til at gå?
