Δυο άντρες, ο Κολούμπους και o Ταλαχάσε, έχουν βρει τον τρόπο να επιζούν σε έναν κόσμο που κυριεύεται από ζόμπι. O Κολούμπους είναι αρκετά αδύναμος, αλλά όταν απειλείται η ζωή του, βρίσκει τη δύναμη να επιζήσει. Ο Ταλαχάσε, από την άλλη, είναι ο χασάπης των ζόμπι κι έχει βάλει σκοπό να σκοτώσει από το πρώτο μέχρι το τελευταίο που υπάρχει στη γη. Οι δυο άντρες θα ενώσουν τις δυνάμεις τους με τη Γουίτσιτα και τη Λιτλ Ροκ, δυο γυναίκες που επίσης έχουν επιζήσει και όλοι μαζί θα πρέπει να αποφασίσουν τι είναι χειρότερο: να στηρίζονται ο ένας στον άλλο, ή να παραδοθούν στα ζόμπι να ησυχάσουν;

Μια επική ιστορία μικροσκοπικών διαστάσεων! Βασισμένη σ’ έναν από τους πιο γνωστούς μύθους του Αισώπου «Ο τζίτζικας και ο μέρμηγκας», η ταινία αφηγείται τις συναρπαστικές περιπέτειες του Φλικ - ενός συνηθισμένου μυρμηγκιού με ασυνήθιστες, όμως, ιδέες - καθώς προσπαθεί να σώσει την αποικία του από μια συμμορία άπληστων ακρίδων, με αρχηγό τους τον κακό Χόπλας. Οι προσπάθειες του Φλικ, όμως, μοιάζουν καταδικασμένες να αποτύχουν μια και αντί να προσλάβει επαγγελματίες πολεμιστές, στρέφεται σε μια ομάδα άνεργων καλλιτεχνών ενός... τσίρκου ψύλλων!

Το Cirque du Soleil (Το Τσίρκο του Ήλιου), το Καναδέζικο συγκρότημα που συνδυάζει σύγχρονο χορό με εκπληκτικά ακροβατικά εμπνευσμένα από τα τσίρκο όλου του κόσμου, έρχεται στην μεγάλη οθόνη από τον σκηνοθέτη Andrew Adamson (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia) σε σενάριο του ίδιου. Τα διάφορα νούμερα των εξαιρετικών performers του Cirque du Soleil έχουν δεθεί σε μια ενιαία ιστορία και την παραγωγή της ταινίας έχει κάνει ο James Cameron σε 3D που αναδεικνύει ακόμα περισσότερο το εκπληκτικό θέαμα. Οι καλλιτέχνες έχουν παρουσιάσει χιλιάδες παραστάσεις σε όλον τον κόσμο, ενώ πρόσφατα τους είδαμε να εκτελούν ένα από τα απίστευτα ακροβατικά τους στην παρουσίαση των φετινών Όσκαρ.

Η γνωστή και μη εξαιρετέα παλιοπαρέα του Ζωολογικού Κήπου, που λατρεύουν μικροί και μεγάλοι, αγωνίζεται και σε αυτήν την ταινία, προκειμένου να φτάσει… (πού αλλού;) στη Νέα Υόρκη!!! Ο Άλεξ το λιοντάρι, ο Μάρτι η ζέβρα, ο Μέλμαν η καμηλοπάρδαλη και η Γκλόρια ο ιπποπόταμος ακόμα προσπαθούν να επιστρέψουν στο σπίτι τους και φυσικά, από την τρίτη αυτή απόπειρά τους, δεν θα μπορούσαν να λείπουν τα λεμούρια, ο Βασιλιάς Τζούλιαν, ο Μορίς και οι ανεκδιήγητοι, αλλά τρισχαριτωμένοι, τζέιμς μποντικού ύφους Πιγκουίνοι!!! Έτσι, όλοι μαζί ταξιδεύουν ανά την Ευρώπη, έχοντας βρει και την τέλεια κάλυψη,: ένα τσίρκο σε περιοδεία το οποίο, μάλιστα, οι φίλοι μας φτιάχνουν στα μέτρα τους, δηλαδή σε στιλ Μαδαγασκάρης! Στο κατόπι τους βρίσκεται η δαιμόνια αστυνομικός Σαντέλ Ντι Μπουά που τους καταδιώκει, ελπίζοντας να εμπλουτίσει τη συλλογή της και με ένα κεφάλι λιονταριού!

Γνωστός αλλά και αγαπητός στο περιβάλλον του ως μεγάλος μυθοπλάστης, ο Έντουαρντ Μπλουμ, αν και βρίσκεται στη δύση της ζωής του, επιμένει να αφηγείται φανταστικές ιστορίες. Ο απόμακρος όμως γιος του, ο Γουίλ, δεν μπορεί να διακρίνει το αληθινό βίωμα από τον μύθο και προσπαθεί, λίγο πριν από το τέλος, να βρει την αλήθεια πίσω από τις αφηγήσεις του.
