Ο Σκαθαροζούμης επιστρέφει! Μετά από μία αναπάντεχη οικογενειακή τραγωδία, τρεις γενιές της οικογένειας Ντιτζ επιστρέφουν στο Γουίντερ Ρίβερ. Ακόμα στοιχειωμένη από τον Σκαθαροζούμη, η ζωή της Λίντια ανατρέπεται όταν η επαναστάτρια έφηβη κόρη της, η Άστριντ, ανακαλύπτει το μυστηριώδες μοντέλο της πόλης στη σοφίτα και η πύλη στον άλλο κόσμο ανοίγει κατά λάθος. Με μεγάλους μπελάδες να αναστατώνουν και τους δύο κόσμους, είναι θέμα χρόνου πότε κάποιος θα αναφωνήσει το όνομα του Σκαθαροζούμη τρεις φορές, για να επιστρέψει αυτός ο σκανταλιάρης δαίμονας προκαλώντας ακόμα μεγαλύτερο χαμό.

Ένας εφευρέτης ζει σε ένα κάστρο μαζί με το σημαντικότερο δημιούργημά του, τον Edward. Δεν τον έχει τελειοποιήσει ακόμη, κι έτσι ό Edward, αντί για χέρια έχει κοφτερά ψαλίδια. Όταν ο εφευρέτης πεθάνει ξαφνικά, ο Edward θα μείνει ημιτελής και μόνος, μέχρι τη μέρα που μια πλασιέ καλλυντικών θα τον βρει στο κάστρο. Η καλή κυρία προθυμοποιείται να τον φιλοξενήσει στο σπίτι της, γεγονός που θα φέρει μεγάλη αναστάτωση στους κατοίκους της μικρής πόλης.

Μια νεαρή Αμερικανίδα ταξιδεύει στη Γερμανία, προκειμένου να φοιτήσει σε διάσημη σχολή χορού. Κατά την άφιξή της βλέπει μια κοπέλα να εγκαταλείπει το οίκημα σε αλλόφρονα κατάσταση. Την επομένη μαθαίνει ότι βρέθηκε νεκρή. Στην περίεργη στάση που κρατούν οι καθηγητές και το προσωπικό προστίθεται η φήμη ότι στις αρχές του αιώνα η σχολή ήταν κέντρο μαγείας και αποκρυφισμού.

Η Σάρα, μια 16χρονη έφηβη κοπέλα με τάσεις αυτοκτονίας και παραισθήσεις, μετακομίζει στο Λος Άντζελες με τον πατέρα της και τη μητριά της για να ξεκινήσουν μια καινούρια ζωή. Η Σάρα γράφεται στο Καθολικό σχολείο όπου θα γίνει φίλη με τρεις κοπέλες, τη Νάνσι, την Μπόνι και τη Ροσέλ. Οι κοπέλες έχουν η καθεμία τα προβλήματά τους και επιθυμούν να κάνουν τις ζωές τους καλύτερες. Οι τρεις τους εξασκούν μαγεία και όταν προσέχουν ότι η Σάρα έχει τις δυνάμεις μιας μάγισσας, την πείθουν να πάρει μέρος στη σύναξή τους. Αφού η Σάρα συμφωνήσει, συνηδειτοποιούν ότι με μια τέταρτη μάγισσα, μπορούν να κάνουν ξόρκια που δεν μπορούσαν πριν και να αρχίσουν να καλυτερεύουν κάποια πράγματα στη ζωή τους. Όμως όπως όλα τα πράγματα στη ζωή, υπάρχει ένα τίμημα. Οι δυνάμεις τους σύντομα θα τις συνεπάρουν και θα στραφεί η μία ενάντια στην άλλη.

Η Ρόουζ δεν μπορεί να δεχτεί το γεγονός ότι η κόρη της Σάρον πεθαίνει από μια θανατηφόρα ασθένεια. Φεύγουν μαζί σε αναζήτηση ενός θεραπευτή, καταλήγουν όμως στη μυστηριώδη και έρημη πόλη που ονομάζεται "Silent Hill". Η μικρή Σάρον εξαφανίζεται και η μητέρα της την αναζητά απεγνωσμένα. Στην πορεία, θα ανακαλύψει ότι η πόλη κατοικείται από διάφορα πλάσματα και πυκνό σκοτάδι. Τα ανθρώπινα όντα που έχουν απομείνει είναι παγιδευμένα και παλεύουν με το σκοτάδι. Με τη βοήθεια ενός αστυνομικού, η Ρόουζ ψάχνει να βρει τη μικρή, ενώ παράλληλα μαθαίνει περισσότερα για την ιστορία της πόλης και ότι η κόρη της είναι πιόνι σε ένα άκρως επικίνδυνο παιχνίδι.

Καθώς μαίνεται ο πόλεμος μεταξύ βρικολάκων και λυκανθρώπων, η Σελίν, πρώην κυνηγός λυκανθρώπων και ο Μάικλ, υβρίδιο των δύο ειδών, προσπαθούν να αποκαλύψουν τα μυστικά των Οίκων τους.

Ο Άνταμ και η Μπάρμπαρα Μέιτλαντ μόλις μετακόμισαν στο καινούργιο σπίτι τους. Οι δύο νέοι είναι τρελά ερωτευμένοι και γοητευμένοι από τη φιλόξενη και χαρούμενη διάθεση των γειτόνων τους. The vampires survive through the "masquerade", disguising themselves as humans, and Julian strictly enforces the laws that govern them to protect their anonymity. Julian and Frank form an uneasy bond as they work together to try to prevent a vampire war and Julian struggles with his romantic feelings for human reporter Caitlin Byrne. The eight episodes of the series have been released on VHS and DVD.
