Κατά τη διάρκεια των καλοκαιρινών διακοπών, ο Ντάνι, ένας νεαρός «επαναστάτης χωρίς αιτία», ερωτεύεται τη Σάντι, που μόλις κατέφθασε από την Αυστραλία. Οι δυο τους ζουν ένα φλογερό ειδύλλιο, που τελειώνει μόλις έρχεται το φθινόπωρο. Επιστρέφοντας όμως στο σχολείο, ο Ντάνι δεν αργεί να ανακαλύψει πως η Σάντι είναι πια συμμαθήτριά του!
