Όταν μια οικογένεια μετακομίζει σε ένα παλιό Βικτοριανό σπίτι του 19ου αιώνα, ανακαλύπτουν στη σοφίτα ένα μπαούλο με παράξενα αντικείμενα που διακατέχονται από ένα σατανικό πνεύμα. Καθώς οι αντίκες αρχίζουν σιγά-σιγά να επηρεάζουν ψυχολογικά κάθε μέλος της οικογένειας, το πνεύμα δυναμώνει και αρχίζει να αποτελεί απειλή για όλους...

Ο 45άχρονος Τζορτζ, χωρισμένος από τη γυναίκα του, χάνει τη δουλειά του (σχεδιαστής αρχιτεκτονικών μοντέλων) και μαθαίνει πως πάσχει από καρκίνο. Πριν από το τέλος του, προσπαθεί να ξαναπλησιάσει τον επαναστατημένο έφηβο γιο του και να χτίσει μαζί του το σπίτι των ονείρων του.

Το μόνο που μπορούν να κάνουν αν θέλουν να ξαναδούν το σπίτι τους είναι να τελειώσουν το παιχνίδι.

Ένα ζευγάρι, η Μητέρα κι Εκείνος, ζει ήρεμο κι ευτυχισμένο στο απομονωμένο, τεράστιο σπίτι του μέχρι τη στιγμή που απρόσκλητοι και παράξενοι επισκέπτες, ένας άντρας και μια γυναίκα, κάνουν αναπάντεχα την εμφάνισή τους και ο εφιάλτης ξεκινά.

Στο τέλος της σχολικής χρονιάς μια μαθήτρια ανυπομονεί να πάει διακοπές με τον πατέρα της στο εξοχικό τους. Όταν ο πατέρας της της ανακοινώνει ότι θα έρθει μαζί τους και η νέα του φιλενάδα, αποφασίζει να πάει μαζί με τις φίλες της στο εξοχικό της θείας της που μένει σε ένα απομακρυσμένο χωριό. Όταν φτάνουν εκεί όμως αρχίζουν να συμβαίνουν παράξενα γεγονότα και τα κορίτσια εξαφανίζονται ένα ένα...

Δύο αδέλφια, ο Έρνεστ κι ο Λαρς, κληρονομούν από τον πατέρα τους ένα παλιό εργοστάσιο παρασκευής σπάγκου κι ένα πολύ παλιό σπίτι στα προάστια. The series was conceived by an author team of well-known Danish authors such Leif Panduro, Benny Andersen, and Lise Nørgaard.
