Dani ja Christian on paar, kelle suhe ei lähe just kõige paremini. Danit on tabanud hiljuti traagiline perekonna kaotus ning vaid see on hoidnud suhet koos. Kui Christian plaanib koos sõpradega minna eraldatud Rootsi külasse jaanipäeva veetma, siis liitub ootamatult nende grupiga ka Dani. See, mis algab muretu suvise seiklusena igavese päikesevalguse maal, võtab hoopis teistsuguse pöörde, kui külaelanikud kutsuvad saabunud külalisi osalema pidustustel, mille kummalised kombed ja riitused muudavad pastoraalse paradiisi üha ärevamaks ja pahaendelisemaks.

"Lohetätoveeringuga tüdruk" on Stieg Larssoni Millenniumi-triloogial põhineva kolmeosalise filmisarja esimene osa. Majandusajakirjanik Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) vajab aja mahavõtmist. Palgamõrvarina on Jack (George Clooney) oma ameti tõttu alati liikvel ja üksinda. Pärast üht halvasti läinud tööotsa Rootsis, lubas Jack oma kontaktisikule, et järgmine tööots jääb tema viimaseks. Snapphanar is a Swedish miniseries which aired in three parts on Sveriges Television during Christmas 2006, directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein. The historical drama is about the Snapphane peasant rebel movement which fought against the Swedish rule of Scania in the 17th century. The "Snapphanar" was a rebellion people, who fought secretly for Denmark during 1660-1700. The miniseries were criticised by historians due to a perceived lack of historical accuracy. The Scanian nationalist attitudes portrayed in the series did not exist in the 17th century, and the term snapphane, which is used for self-identification in the series, was in fact a derogatory term used by Swedes.
