Ülikoolitudengit Stefaniet painab korduv vägivaldne õudusunenägu. Ta suundub koju, et leida üles ainus, kes suudaks nõiaringi lõhkuda ja päästa pere neid paratamatult ootava kohutava lõpu käest.

Remy ei ole sugugi mitte tavaline rotipoiss - nimelt on teda õnnistatud ülitundliku maitsmismeelega ja seetõttu keeldub ta kategooriliselt suhu toppimast kõiksugu prügi, mis muidu rottide söögitabelis auväärsel kohal figureerivad.
