Tulevik, valitsused ja majandus kogu maailmas on kokku varisenud, toitu napib, NASAt ei ole enam - süüdistada saab vaid 20. sajandit. Salapärane rebend aegruumis avaneb ning NASA - või mis iganes sellest järele on jäänud - ülesandeks saab uurida ja pakkuda inimkonnale uut lootust.

Paul Atreides on nutikas ja andekas noormees, keda ootab talle endale hoomamatu vägev saatus. Oma pere ja rahva tuleviku tagamiseks tuleb tal universumi kõige ohtlikumale planeedile rännata. Kui kurjad jõud asuvad võitlema planeedil asuva hinnalisima ressursi – inimkonna suurima potentsiaali valla päästva eseme - varu pärast, jäävad ellu vaid need, kes suudavad oma hirmudest jagu saada.

Lootusetu ellujäämiskatse käigus saadetakse vang (Markiplier) miniallveelaevaga "Raudkops" kaugele kuule nimega AT-5, kus laiub hiiglaslik veremeri. Vangi ülesanne on navigeerida läbi pimeda süviku, et pildistada anomaaliaid, mis võivad peita endas inimkonna pääseteed. Kuid vereookeani sügavustes selgub peagi, et vang ei ole seal üksinda ning hirm suletud ruumi ja tundmatu ees muutub võitluseks elu ja surma peale.

Palavalt oodatud järg kultuslikule ulmefilmile "Blade Runner". Teise osa lugu toimub 30 aastat pärast esimese filmi sündmusi. Uus blade runner (androidide jahtija) on Los Angelese politseinik K, kes avastab kaua varjul olnud saladuse, mis võib ühiskonna riismed veelgi suuremasse kaosesse paisata. K avastus sunnib ta kunagise blade runneri Rick Deckardi otsinguile, kes on kolmkümmend aastat kadunud olnud.

Lõpuks ometi viiakse meid tagasi post-apokalüptilisse Austraaliasse, kus Maxi teele satub naisvõitleja Furiosa, millele järgneb uskumatuna näiv masinate märul. Kõike seda selleks, et kaitsta gruppi naisi, kes paluvad end hellitavalt "Pruutideks" kutsuda.

Lähituleviku Los Angeleses elav Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix) on keerulise sisemaailmaga tundeline mees, kes teenib elatist teistele inimestele ilusate personaalsete kirjade kirjutamisega. Peale pika suhte lõppemist hakkab murtud südamega meest huvitama uus operatsioonisüsteem, mis on programmeeritud igale kasutajale individuaalselt ja peaks omama ehtsat intuitiivset inimloomust. Peale oma süsteemi käivitamist tervitab teda Samantha (Scarlett Johansson) – nutika, läbinägeliku, tundelise ja üllatavalt hea huumorisoonega naise hääl. Käsikäes nende mõlema vajaduste kasvamisega suureneb nende sõprus ja tärkab armastus.

Film leiab aset aastal 2045, kui maailm on kaose ja kokkuvarisemise äärel. Lunastust leitakse geniaalse ja ekstsentrilise James Halliday loodud kallist virtuaalreaalsuse universumist OASIS-est. Kui Halliday sureb, jätab ta kogu oma üüratu varanduse esimesele, kes leiab kuhugi OASIS-esse peidetud digitaalse lihavõttemuna. Nii saabki alguse kogu maailma haarav võistlus. Kui osalema asub ebatõenäoline kangelane Wade Watts, ootab teda kaelamurdev ja tegelikkust moonutav aardejaht müstikat, avastusi ja ohte täis fantastilises universumis.

Kümneid aastaid tulevikus on Logan ja professor Charles Xavier ainsad ellujäänud, kes on veel alles sellest kunagisest kõikvõimsast X-meeste kollektiivist.
