Kuningriigi tagaotsituim, aga ka nägusaim röövel Flynn Ratsur peidab end keset metsi asuvasse salapärasesse torni, kuid leiab sealt eest Rapuntsli – särtsaka tütarlapse, kelle pikad kuldsed juuksed omavad võlujõudu! Koos asuvad nad seiklusrikkale teekonnale, mis on täis ohte ja üllatusi, ent ka naeru ning rõõmu.

Ühel suvepäeval päästab Haru nimeline tüdruk elava liiklusega tänaval kassi. Tema suureks imestuseks tõuseb kass tagajalgadele ja tänab tüdrukut inimkeeles. Ilmneb, et tegu polegi tavalise kõutsiga, vaid nõiutud Kassikuningriigi printsiga. Kassikuningas otsustab, et vapper tüdruk peab abielluma printsiga ja laseb Haru röövida. Ometi pole neiul vähimatki soovi saada Kassiprintsessiks ja ta otsustab põgeneda.
