A group of old friends meets up on New Year's Eve, as they do every year, to celebrate with traditions, memories, and shared rituals. But someone is missing: Martin, who died in a tragic accident years ago. This year, Nomi, Martin's former girlfriend, brings along her new boyfriend, Finn, for the first time. With little sense of which questions are appropriate and a penchant for bringing up sensitive topics, Finn shakes up the close-knit group. It becomes an unforgettable evening that could mean a new beginning for each of them.

A man decides to perpetrate a series of killings and publicise them as political acts in an attempt to protest against nuclear armaments.

A large city is in a state of panic, in workplaces and in homes people are discussing the terrible fate that has befallen a little girl named Birte. A sex offender has been at play, he has been haunting the city's parks and facilities for a long time, and his latest victim is Birte Elkær, daughter of the scientist Hans Elkær and his wife Martha. The police have deployed extra personnel, and they are now searching for the second day. Will the little girl be found alive?

Frank is left with the responsibility for his nephew Bo on an already planned canoe trip. Frank's mate Casper is also coming along. Here, Karl discovers a case involving his ex-wife and her new husband. When Karl begins to investigate the case, he is stopped by the police chief. Karl teams up with journalist John Bullnes. They gradually get closer to the truth, but are stopped when a suspect commits suicide. Karl is suspended and Bullnes is sent to Berlin on an assignment. Karl then takes the case into his own hands and arrests the city's mayor and a major contractor.

High school is coming to an end for the shy Gustav and his best friend, Buller. The two outsiders only think about sex and talk about nothing else. Gustav is hopelessly in love with popular Barbara, who is barely aware of his existence. But the boys' lives change completely when an alien in the form of a handsome guy named Allan suddenly drops from the sky.
