Uncle Geza goes on a trip to Ukraine following the footsteps of his beloved grandfather Peter Kutos, who fought on the Austro-Hungarian side against the Russians during the First World War. There wouldn't be anything special about this trip, if the bird that announces death, would not begin to scream in the orchard in front of the Kutos family's house. This causes turmoil among the travelers. Nevertheless, they go to Ukraine and it seems that everything will be fine and that this will be just another nostalgic journey of grandchildren's following the footsteps of their grandfathers. Then, in the middle of the journey towards Zaturci, a message from military museum comes up that Peter Kutos could not fight in Zaturci in 1916, since he was called into the army in 1917, a year later. That changes everything. And this will have to be said to Geza.

In her autumn years, a woman reminisces about the fateful year of 1947, when the newly drawn border between Italy and Yugoslavia cut through the region of Gorizia; this was also the year when she found love. Hers is a peculiar tale with a tinge of the surreal, as well as a family drama shaped by real events.

Zdenko Šturman is a man collecting waste, or rather things the society uses, gets tired of, and throws away. His house and courtyard are nothing but giant “storage space” for waste products piled two metres high. Šturman accumulates things that remind him of his good old younger days. But behind all this is a great man, a positive individual who decided to live by principles different from those of the modern society: no TV, no internet, no stress. A bohemian lifestyle, which in the recent years has turned him into quite a star.

After the independence of Slovenia it seemed that the story of Slovenian punk is finished. But every end is a new beginning. After 1991 rose a new, second generation of punks who still believe that another world is possible and necessary. Active members of the underground: musicians, activists, squatters, music promoters and organizers tell us about punk ideology, culture, music, squatting movement, lust for freedom and political struggle under the flag of anarchism. Firsthand, forthright. This is a document of independence, love for music and creativity. Reflection on the work of passion and of the world, not driven by capital. From the punks for the punks.

An elderly couple has been managing a farm for years. On a silent evening, while they are resting from, a busy day, a little spark of hope for some different kind of life lights up.

The film takes us through the working day of protagonists, factory workers. Their basic working tool is their body, ready to execute strenuous manual tasks. Day after day the same story, the same faces, the same spaces, the same tasks. Feeling confined, they seek a sheet anchor, a way out, an escape. They venture into the unknown, dance, drift and float in the air.

Man has always strived to free himself from nature. The history of philosophy is a story of the reflection of this tragic endeavor. With the rapid development of technology, however, we have found ourselves in a new contradiction. Man has never been more liberated from nature, but at the same time, as a species, never more fragile. It seems as if the question of the survival of our civilization has become a matter of intimate decisions and that we are each approaching a potential common catastrophe on our own. The idea of ​​a project was born in which we would discuss the riddles of humanity in private. Not to alleviate feelings of loneliness, but to contribute to the awareness of a community of loners. We invited some exceptional creators, scientists and philosophers who open up thoughts in a way that only good friends can; they awaken the thoughts that sleep within us.

The film was created to mark the 70th anniversary of the Gorizia Library.

The film presents an authentic experience of Palestinian children and parents upon their arrival to Slovenia as a part of the humanitarian project Rehabilitation of Children, Victims of War from Gaza. The focus is on Baylasan, aged 7, and her mother Amal, with their shared wish: that Baylasan could walk like other children.
