مسافری مرموز به اعماق دنیای زیرزمینی کراچی نفوذ می‌کند و با دقتی مرگبار پله‌پله در سلسله مراتب آن بالا می‌رود؛ اما در نهایت از درون، پیوند بدنام میان سازمان اطلاعاتی آی‌اس‌آی و مافیای زیرزمینی را از هم می‌پاشد.

«اجکوم» (هنکس) سر نگهبان بخش محکومان مرگ یک زندان ایالتی است. یکی از زندانیان، سیاه پوست تنومند و قوی هیکلی به نام «جان کافی» (دانکن) است که به اتهام قتل دو دختر بچه، به اعدام محکوم شده، در حالی که نیروی خارق العاده ی شفابخشی دارد.

داستان زوجی که برای سالگردشان به یک کلبه دورافتاده می‌روند اما وجود موجودی خبیث همه چیز را دگرگون می‌کند و آن‌ها را مجبور می‌کند تا در گذشته تاریک خانه کاوش کنند.

"اُ دای سو" مرد میان سالی است که در یک روز بارانی ربوده می‌شود و در مکانی به مدت ۱۵ سال زندانی می‌شود. پس از آزاد شدن تصمیم می‌گیرد که دلیل ربوده شدنش را کشف کند و از شخصی که این کار را کرده است انتقام بگیرد و... نام این فیلم در زبان فارسی به اشتباه "پیر پسر" و "پسر پیر" ترجمه شده که عنوان درست آن "رفیق قدیمی" و یا "همکلاسی قدیمی" است.
