استفانی، دانشجوی دانشگاه که به خاطر یک کابوس مکرر و وحشتناک دچار عذاب است، به خانه برمیگردد تا شخصی را پیدا کند که ممکن است بتواند این چرخه را بشکند و خانوادهاش را از سرنوشت خونینی که به طور حتم در انتظارشان است نجات دهد.

شاهزادهای به نام ناوین توسط جادوگری معروف به مرد سایهای به قورباغه تبدیل میشود و برای رهایی از این جادو باید توسط شاهزاده خانمی بوسیده شود. شاهزاده به اشتباه دختر پیشخدمتی به نام تیانا را به منظور شکستن طلسم به جای یک شاهزاده خانم میبوسد. طلسم کار نمیکند و تیانا نیز به یک قورباغه تبدیل میشود. شاهزاده برای پیدا کردن شاهزاده خانم به سفری خطرناک و هیجان انگیز ره سپار میشود و در مسیر به دلیل اینکه به شکل قورباغه است ماجراهای متنوعی را تجربه میکند و پس از طی مسیری طولانی و طاقت فرسا پرنس شاهزاده خانم مورد علاقه خود را پیدا میکند، اما آیا شاهزاده خانم بوسیدن قورباغهای زشت را قبول خواهد کرد؟
