The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search is a reality TV show produced by NBC that debuted in January 2005, prior to the launch of that year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The purpose of the show was to document twelve previously unknown fashion models as they competed against one another for a grand prize. In this case, it was a pictorial in the 2005 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and a modeling contract with NEXT Model Management worth one million US dollars. The twelve contestants were chosen after NBC and Sports Illustrated launched a nation-wide search, processing around 3,000 potential women. The three-judge panel consisted of Roshumba Williams, Joel Wilkenfeld and Jule Campbell. Competitions would include how well the contestants did on their photo shoots and their rigorous fitness tests. Based on these, the aforementioned judges would choose who "made the cut" and who would be let go from the competition, until there were two finalists. The show's tagline was "The business of being beautiful is about to get ugly."

The game is centered around solving a word-chain puzzle. At the start of the show the chain comprised eight words. The words in the chain are linguistically or logically connected, with both the word at the top and the word at the bottom revealed at the outset. By making inferences based on the revealed words and the revealed letters in incomplete words, contestants try to fill in the word chains to score points.

The Baby Borrowers is an American version of the The Baby Borrowers reality television show based on the British television series of the same name originally aired in 2007. The show features five couples aged between 18 and 20 who either believe that being parents is easy, or are divided upon the issue. They start off attempting to look after a baby for three days, before moving onto toddlers, pre-teens, teenagers and finally an elderly person. The show is produced by Love Productions, the same company that produces the original British version. On March 13, 2009, it was confirmed that the series had been canceled and would not be returning for a second season.

Return to Peyton Place is an American daytime soap opera which aired on NBC from April 3, 1972 to January 4, 1974. The series was a spin-off of the primetime drama series Peyton Place rather than an adaptation of the 1959 novel of the same name by Grace Metalious. The storylines from the daytime show were a continuation of those from the primetime series. Both James Lipton and Gail Kobe worked as writers on the series during its run. Frank Ferguson, Evelyn Scott, and Patricia Morrow reprised their roles from the earlier series. Selena Cross, a major character in the original novel and the films both it and its sequel inspired, had not been included in the primetime TV series because her storyline was considered too risque at the time. She was a featured character in the daytime soap.

Call My Bluff was a short-lived American game show from Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions that aired on NBC daytime from March 29 to September 24, 1965. Bill Leyden was emcee, with Johnny Olson and Wayne Howell as announcers. Call My Bluff originated from Studio 6A at NBC Studios in the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The word editor for the series was Eric Lieber, who would later create and produce Love Connection.

Make Your Own Kind of Music was an American summer replacement television series starring The Carpenters that aired on NBC from July 20, 1971 to September 7, 1971. Some guest stars were Don Knotts, Herb Alpert, Al Hirt, Mark Lindsay, Patchett & Tarses, Helen Reddy, and the Doodletown Pipers. The key concept of the series was that each show starts off with the letter "A". The first show started off with "A is for Alpert", as Herb Alpert stood next to a big letter "A", and introduced the show. The cast would then go down the alphabet list, and when they got to "Z", the show would end.

Television Playhouse is an American anthology series that was broadcast live on NBC. The series aired from December 4, 1947 to April 11, 1948. The program was in cooperation with the National Theater and Academy, a federally sponsored theater group, and featured live performances of plays, some of which were by well-known authors. The first presentation was The Last of My Solid Gold Watchers by Tennessee Williams. Each episode was 30 minutes long, and featured actors and actresses who had not reached stardom. A wide variety of plays was presented on the program. Although short-lived, the "live play" format later became very popular during the early 1950s.

Geographically Speaking was an American travel series that debuted on June 9, 1946 on NBC, and aired Sundays at 8:15 pm EST immediately following the game show Face to Face. The weekly 15-minute program was one of the first TV shows to have a regular sponsor, Bristol-Myers. The show consisted of hostess Mrs. Carveth Wells narrating her 16mm home movies of her trips with her husband to unusual and exotic places. When she ran out of home movies, the series ended in October 1947. Mrs. Wells later appeared as a contestant on Groucho Marx's You Bet Your Life, on TV and radio, in February 1958.

The series first aired live in primetime from June 30, 1954 to August 20, 1954, four nights a week from Tuesday to Friday, and from October 1954 to December 1955 five days a week in daytime. A total of 345 episodes were produced. The series began as a segment on The Kate Smith Evening Hour.
