An impoverished father, with his young son and daughter, begs for food in a marketplace. When a merchant angrily turns them away, their plight attracts the attention of a woman of charity. Calling shame upon the unkind merchant, she buys the poor family some food, talks with the family, and adopts the two children. Marketplace workers, witnessing the scene, give the father work as a sign carrier.

After a fight in the forest against customs officers, one of the smugglers is denied of his share of the profits and thrown away. Making his way into the village, he will ask for help to the wife of the customs officer he assaulted.

“A musician is given an invitation to a party, but finds that he has no dress suit to wear. He visits a friend, an artist, to see if he can borrow one, but he too does not have one. However, the artist is about to paint a portrait of a man in the dress of a Roman soldier; when the man arrives he is wearing a dress suit and has to change into his costume. The musician dons the suit and goes to the party. The other man, when his portrait is finished, discovers that his suit is missing and follows the musician to the party; he find the musician playing the piano, recognises his suit, and throws the wearer to the floor.” - BFI.

A humorous film about a dancer

Distinguished physician and sanitation officer Dr. William Gorgas takes a train ride around Colón, Panama Canal Zone with a companion.

A submarine coming into port is seen gliding smoothly on the water and the little rowboat which is to bring the captain of the vessel to his post is seen leaving for shore. We see the dashing young officer bidding his love adieu, and then seating himself in the frail craft is soon once more on duty at the wheel. Away they go, and reaching the wide sea the ship gives a lurch and disappears under the water.

When the father of high-born son refuses to let him marry the beautiful seafood seller, she and her brothers determine on a grisly vengeance.

A woman gets a dog from the pound. But her husband, jealous that the dog is getting so much attention, pays a man on the street to steal the dog. The women put a reward which attracts the attention of the thief.
