Avengers: Endgame on suoraa jatkoa vuonna 2018 ilmestyneelle Avengers: Infinity War:ille, jossa galaktinen titaanilordi Thanos voitti Avengers-ryhmän, tuhosi puolet universumin asukkaista ja pakeni kaukaiselle planeetalle. Nyt jäljelle jääneet supersankarit joutuvat uransa vaikeimman haasteen äärelle pohtiessaan, miten jatkaa tästä eteenpäin. Muutama viikko on kulunut Thanoksen aiheuttamasta massahävityksestä. Tästä selvinneet ihmiset ovat hiljalleen alkaneet keräilemään voimiaan. Tony Stark eli Iron Man on alkanut miettimään omaa tulevaisuuttaan ja yrittää Nebula-kyborgin kanssa keksiä keinon päästä takaisin Maahan. Muut hyökkäyksestä selvinneet, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, ja Steve Rogers saavat rinnalleen takaisin Hawkeyen, Scott Langin ja Carol Denversin. Yhdessä he päättävät vielä kerran käydä taisteluun Thanosta vastaan hieman erikoisella tavalla, joka tulee vaatimaan isoja uhrauksia ja lujaa tahtoa. Mutta Thanoksella on myös omat suunnitelmat hävityksen jälkeen.

Kolme toimittajaa päättää tutkia salaperäistä lehti-ilmoitusta, jossa haetaan seuralaista aikamatkailuun. He saavat selville, että ilmoituksen jättäjä on omalaatuinen ja vainoharhainen Kenneth, joka työskentelee supermarketissa. Tämän jälkeen aikakone hurahtaa tulevaisuuteen, vuoteen 1966, ja sielläkin riehuu sota - ydinsota. Täydellisestä katastrofista ihmiskunta on toipunut vasta vuonna 802701: se on kuitenkin jakaantunut kahtia, maan pinnalla eläviin elohin ja pimeydessä vaeltaviin morlokeihin. Morlokit eivät kutenkaan ole maan alle työnnettyjä työläisiä vaan riistäjiä, jotka ovat muuttaneet eloit tahdottomiksi kasveiksi. Aikakone kommentoi paratiisimyyttiä ja edistysuskoa - paratiisi näyttäytyy irvokkaana taantumuksena, josta puuttuu kehityksen edellyttämä haaste.

Blake and Mortimer is an animated television series, based on the Blake and Mortimer comic book by Edgar Pierre Jacobs.
