An on-again/off-again couple lays out their ideas on how their relationship should work.

Roberto (Luigi Giuliani) and Luisa (Rocío Durcal) are a couple but are not as sincere as they should be. She tells him she works at Telefónica when she actually sells cigarettes at "The Green Windmill" cabaret. She's surprised when she discovers plans for a bachelor party there in honor of Roberto, who is marrying a wealthy heiress. In revenge, Luisa adopts the role of Luisito and faces Roberto in disguise.

Each love story in the film takes us to a different past, from a different present. The hope for a bright future is an illusion that keeps us expecting, as it unleashes the anguish of waiting for something extraordinary to happen. In this strange time, shaped by memory pieces and by what could have happened but didn’t, is where the characters of the film inhabit, awaiting the arrival of the future. The storyteller in “In the Future” is a ghost. My ghost.

A construction worker has some terrible thoughts on his break time.

Interwoven emotions and struggles of three women of different generations aiming to build the lives they desire, their own future, love and dreams. All of them lose the love of their lives and they will have to pursue their happiness and fight for their dignity in a dark and hostile word.

Near Luján, the Rerum Novarum music band, composer of former workers of the Flandria cotton plant, continues playing nowadays, in spite of the shutdown of the factory. The old musicians struggle with passion in the need to maintain an identity, in a present where the social values seem to have to disappear. The old workers-musicians, receive "Our Lady of Luján" playing "Oh, María", remembering the early days of the town, of the factory, and of their own lives. They recall an idealistic past, where a Flandria worker used to receive a salary equal to that of a bank manager. They visit the closed factory -once source for employment for thousands of workers- with the knowledge that the country that they helped to build no longer exists. The old musicians gather to enjoy their friendship in the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of the band, while they fight against the ghosts of the economical crisis and social disintegration.
