A result of an extensive search campaign, in which the inhabitants of Slovenia were invited to send home videos and thereby allow insight into their experience of independence in 1991.

19 filmmakers from ten european countries selected by Mike Figgis for a Masterclass by the European Film Academy come to Slovenia in a challenging mission: to conceive, shoot, complete a 90m feature film in seven days and screen it on the day after in a cinema for the public.

Awakenings is a story about growing up, despite the fact that the main characters are are entering their 40's. It is set in the bedrooms of the six protagonists, where they discuss their everyday dilemmas, secrets, fears and hopes. Their awakenings are not only physical but primarily emotional.

War orphans rebel against teachers and authority figures in their reform school in this somber social drama. Danny is a teen punk who organizes a breakout, only to become a victim of the code of toughness by which he lives.

Charlie, the protagonist of the Slovenian film “Porno Film”, is so dedicated to his porn viewing that his two friends John and Frank jokes that he must have a PhD in pornography by now. Using Charlie’s extensive knowledge of all things porn, the trio sets out to make the “first real Slovenia porn film”, in Slovenian language and everything — except the women in the film are emigrated Russian hookers, and their Slovenian isn’t very good.

Tadej and Lana, a young couple, are struggling through the world of drugs, dealers, addicts and prostitution. He is addicted to heroin and she is trying to help her boyfriend. When she realizes that all her efforts are in vain she becomes so desperate that she decides to take heroin herself in order to show Tadej how weak he is. Unfortunately the drug is stronger then her too and a year later she finds herself in the same situation. Now they are both in continuous search for daily fix.

When a man known as Oroslan dies, the news quickly spreads through a little village, causing grief and emotion. Later on, actions become words and words become stories. In order to overcome the sorrow and restore the natural flow of life, the villagers start sharing their memories about Oroslan, re-creating his image through their tales.

The film is based on a true story. In June 1945, Joza Čop and Paula Jesih, two well-known pre-war Slovenian mountaineers, attempted to scale the central pillar towering in the north wall of Tricorno. The film begins with the history of the conquest of Tricorno and retrospective footage.

Despite all actions taken in attempt to conquer Trieste, Gestapo forces fail to do so. The surrender of Italian fascist state gives partisans an open way in seizing the power with the help of domicile population.

Martin Krpan is the only one who manages to defeat the terrible giant Brdavs. The emperor from the court in Vienna wants to thank him, he even offers him the hand of his daughter. Despite the objections of the empress and minister Gregor, Krpan manages to get the emperor to write him a permit for transporting English salt.

After the bad outcome of the criminal operation in Lenin Park, Taras decides on a new career path, private detective. First, it is rented by Klara Zupet, a wealthy daughter from Ljubljana. She wants Taras to investigate the new wife of her rich father, the influential entrepreneur Zupet, as she is convinced that she is only with him for self-interest.

In the center of the story is young girl Mia, who was just about to marry, however her boyfriend left her. She then decides to help the couples to engage and live in a harmonious marriage. Her quiet life is however shaken by a young attorney Egon, who steps into her life and brings romance again.

Bojan the Bear is a painter who paints his own world with three colours. A friend of his enters the world, using two other colours - white and black - to paint glaciers.

The ruins of the old castle are a favorite place for children to play - besides the computer, of course. Jon, Tina and her younger brother Peter visit the place every day and also become friends with the occasional resident there. But strange things are happening in the premises of the crumbling castle. The main character is a cop who browses trough the streets and city's underground where he finds himself in a series of unsolved murders, drugs, smugglers, corrupt government officials, sex, hookers and blackmail. His Name is Marko Prilika - called Cens (Chance). Even though he's a cop, he's no stranger in a world of cocaine use and hookers.

Swingers is a television series which shows the "eternal struggle" between men and women and talk about those life issues that people are talking about on a daily basis - the cleaning, cooking, driving and all the important and not so important things. The story is set in two apartments, both males and females. Each gender will be presented in each episode.

Though the setting seems idyllic, the countryside reveals unexpected challenges. The series blends everyday struggles with warmth, humor, and romantic entanglements.

Despite their differences in age, personality and outlook, the brothers share a constant bond throughout. They, but mostly Bine, attempt to become millionaires through questionable get-rich-quick schemes and by buying and selling poor-quality and illegal goods.

'TV dober dan' is a TV channel broadcasting from Meglenik, a small town near Ljubljana. There are few employees at this TV and because smallness means success, TV Dober dan still has a great future ahead of it. The team, which deals with the challenges of the television company every day, consists of the director John Smith, his assistant Podrepnik, the energetic marketing director Mercatori, the journalist Samo and his journalist colleague Ana, the secretary Ingrid, the punk videographer Izidor, the director Luka, the waitress Zofka, the extremely practical lighting operator Jože, tireless cleaner Fata and homeless Cojz.

The series illustrates an everyday life of ordinary people, various complications and tangles.
