The story about one man - an artist and an intellectual - who was imprisoned by two brutal regimes, the Nazis and the Soviets. 'The Professor' is a man who lives by his own personal version of the Ten Commandments. After miraculously surviving imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp through a bit of ironic fate, he writes a memoir of his life, which becomes the target of the Soviet censors. The so-called "freedom" of Communism becomes just as oppressive as the German concentration camp.

The dream is interrupted by the outbreak of World War II.

This delicately-rendered live action narrative follows the story of a ten-year-old boy and budding entomologist named Juozapas, who was born with his heart outside of his chest. Can Rugile, the fearless new girl in town, help Juozapas gain courage and acceptance to overcome exclusion and the insensitivity of the people around them?

Facts is a dramatization of a massacre in a Lithuanian village during World War II when Nazis rounded up over 100 men, women, and children accused of partisan activity and then torched the houses in which they were held. Using Russian interrogations of a few survivors, the testimony of villagers, and some of the Germans responsible for the killing, the film gradually reconstructs the event and its context.

Miglė, who married when she was very young, has for 26 years been divorced from her ex-husband who one day calls her and asks for a favour. He has found that it would be a good time to get married again after the death of his mother. But there is a small problem: their divorce is valid only in the eyes of the law, because a Catholic marriage cannot be divorced. It can, however, be annulled. All that needs to be done is to complete an application and give the “Catholic court” a good reason. But she does not know in what kind of absurd situations she is about to find herself in.

Will history be able to triumph, and misfortune and loss turn into joy? Everything is possible in the theater.

Champion fighter Osvald is banned from competing after injuring a girl in a street fight. Stranded in his bleak Lithuanian hometown, he takes refuge in a run-down Taiwanese restaurant owned by his only friend, Ju-Long. The first feature of Lithuanian Valdas Navasaitis is a drama which unravels the hopeless 1970s, when people were deprived of their roots and forced to sit and watch their lives slip from their fingers. In a decrepit house that once belonged to a bourgeois family, several families seek shelter. Senis, a 65-year-old alcoholic, lives on the ground floor with his wife and their 16-year-old daughter. Senis is a survivor of the Nazis as well as the communist camps. He drowns the pain of his memories in a nearby pub and in talking to a depressed young laborer, Lorenca. Later on, a young couple and a lonely eccentric who enjoys only his cat's company join the inhabitants. Children wile away the time with useless games or spying on adults. When Lorenca hangs himself at the ruins of a nearby factory, the lives are shaken up. During the dinner held for the deceased, they find a moment of common hope.

Marius, a successful but unhappy husband, and his brother Jovitas, a feckless failure scorned by his wife Nomeda, who just so happens to be Marius’s longtime mistress—plan to confess Nomeda’s pregnancy by Marius at Christmas dinner. Their scheme unravels when their father Kazimieras shocks everyone by announcing his own divorce after fifty years, fearing his wife Alma has been unfaithful.

A large family reside in different Ukrainian cities. Mother and Father live in the Kiev suburbs, the oldest daughter in Mariupol, the second of the three in Vinnitsa, and the youngest in Chernigov. The son went on a work trip to Donetsk. Exactly in these cities on 24 February, they were caught by the war. All, by one way or another, find themselves in a bunker or shelter.
