A young German actor, Niklas, is preparing the biggest role of his lifetime to be filmed in Sarajevo, where a screenwriter, Selma, is living in the shadow of the Bosnian War. After Niklas arrives only to learn that his big break has been cancelled, he decides to stay in Sarajevo for New Year’s Eve, where he crosses paths with Selma. Their worlds collide, and the two experience a night together that will change their lives forever.

After his camera is stolen, Elvis decides to visit Rodolfo, a stranger met by chance in Venice. Their brief and lonely encounter unfolds in the timeless landscape of whitewashed towns, green hills and olive trees of southern Italy.

The carnage in Sarajevo provides the focus of this French documentary which seeks to call attention to the terrible conflict in the hopes of finally ending it. The film is divided into five parts. Each part covers a time frame ranging from April 4, 1992, the beginning of the war, to the present. The major issues that occur are three-fold. It depicts the systematic genocide of Bosnians, the silence of Western countries, and the determination of the Bosnians to resist. They refuse to be seen as victims, even though the filmmakers portray them so. Also included are the origins and political aspects of the war. It offers interviews with participants. It also reveals how the U.S. State Department censored reports about Serbian death camps.
Besieged Sarajevo, 1993, Haska (28) finds a love letter in her husband’s pockets after his death on the frontline. She tries to understand what has happened and eventually decides to leave Sarajevo with her son Denis (9).

Partly paralysed by polio, Vlado is stuck in his flat and unable to take care of himself. His younger wife, Alma, helps Vlado with love and tenderness in all his daily life activities, never giving up hope that he will get better. But Vlado feels weak and humiliated, losing the motivation to exercise or take medicine. In spite of the love and intimacy between the couple, Vlado’s self-loathing causes him to reject Alma. Haunted by visions of a half-man/half-horse, Alma considers alternative ways to solve their situation. The Centaur appears in a dream and gets closer and closer to their reality, pushing events towards an extreme conclusion. Vlado decides to end his misery, to bury the dead part of his body and wait for a miracle. Alma’s love is challenged but she executes the simple ceremony with dedication. By dawn, the magic happens.

Being away for many years, Amir returns to Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to take custody of his parent's remains. They were murdered during the war but their bodies haven't been recovered so far. Amir also decides to visit the place of his birth. There, besides a ruined house, he also finds a forgotten friend and those who know about him more than he knows about himself.
Sarajevo, after 11th September 2001. Karim works as deminer in the hills around the city while waiting to be sent to Iraq with his group. His main reason - the money. But a love story with unhappy ending will change his life. It's a tale about a love triangle between him, his best friend Juka and Ivana, girl from Belgrade, but at the same time this is a story about the clash between West and Islam and how one young Bosnian copes with this issue.
Ena, a 10 year old girl, who lives with her young mother and grandmother, has a constant urge to eat something sweet, and she never actually gets to eat some, by the end of the day ending up having a different “culinary”experience with her friend Ado who is in the eve of moving to Frankfurt.
In order to recover the body of her son lost during the war in Bosnia, a grieving, but strong-willed Muslim woman, Halima, must track down her estranged niece, who we find carries a mysterious connection to him.
December 2023. To spread holiday cheer, a theatre company is touring small towns of post-war Bosnia with a play about Santa Claus. While children are enchanted by the play, the appearance of Santa Claus rekindles old disputes among the adults.
Faruk Sego, a failed Bosnian writer facing deportation from Austria, must prove that he has made a cultural contribution to Austrian society. His last chance is an off-theatre troupe that can stage a play he wrote as a young man. Faruk's reluctant return to the theatre will force him to realise what is truly important in life.
